Could you help us support more mums to have a safe space to share how they are really feeling? On Average it costs £4 per mum for venue hire to make sure we have safe spaces where mums can feel heard and know they are not alone. Could you spare £4 a month to support a mum you know?

Lucinda Bray, MD and Emma, Community Engagement Co-Ordinator for Wigton we're on CRFM Radio this morning to talk about our new support group launching in Wigton this Thursday. Huge thanks to Val Armstrong for knowing her stuff on Happy Mums and really focusing on what matters to us - embracing mental health and providing safe, judgement-free spaces for mums to get support. Together, we're working to see maternal mental health embraced across Cumbria. #maternalmentalhealth #embracingmentalhealth #mumssupportingmums #livedexperience

We're going to be highlight a few different kinds of volunteer roles over the coming weeks. But you can find out all the information about our volunteer roles over on the volunteering page of our website: https://lnkd.in/ezXRRBgG #volunteering #peersupport #loveyourcommunity #happymums ps in canva these cartoon people have pupils in their eyes, I'm not sure why they don't now, it's ok if they creep you out a little, they are doing that to me to. Just focus on the words...!

It's important to us that all our volunteers feel fully equipped and supported while carrying out their roles. Investing in training for them is an investment in support for all the mums and mums to be who attend our groups. It also provides new opportunities for mums who aren't sure what format 'going back to work' might take for them. Our peer-led supportership helps cover the costs of training and ongoing support for our amazing volunteers. Be a Happy Mum Hero: Support Happy Mums with a Monthly Supportership! Every mum deserves to feel happy and supported. At Happy Mums, we understand the unique challenges of motherhood and the power of peer support. That’s why we offer life-changing peer groups, training, and resources – all focused on maternal mental health and wellbeing. But we can’t do it alone. We rely on the generosity of people like you to help us continue our vital work. By setting up a supportership, you’ll be making a real difference in the lives of mothers across Cumbria. #supporterships #volunteering #socialenterprise #mumssupportingmums #peerled #peersupport

Here is this weeks timetable of free support groups for mums, mums-to-be, and those who identify as mums, to have a safe space to talk about how they are really feeling - without judgement. As it's the last week of the month we also have our online group for single mums tomorrow night. If you'd like to sign up to any of our groups head to https://lnkd.in/ecMf_62W , signing up is required for our online groups to keep the links safe, however you can just walk in to our in-person groups without signing up before hand. Little ones are welcome, and with it being half term, its ok to bring along the slightly bigger little ones too! #HappyMums #mumssupportingmums #peersupport #maternalmentalhealth

Did you know? At Happy Mums, we believe that every support group should be led by the incredible volunteers in our community! We're on the lookout for passionate individuals to join our team. Each group ideally needs at least 3 facilitators, 3 group helpers, and 2 warm-hearted welcomers. By sharing the load, we can create an even more supportive environment for everyone involved! Your mental health journey is a powerful story that can inspire others. Here, we celebrate your experiences rather than shy away from them. Let's turn those stories into superpowers that uplift and empower fellow mums and mums-to-be! Curious about how you can get involved? Dive into the details of these rewarding roles by visiting https://lnkd.in/drmvjx6k . We're currently recruiting across North and West Cumbria, and even just an hour and a half of your time each week could make a world of difference to many women in our community. Ready to make an impact? Join us in creating a nurturing space where everyone feels valued and supported! Together, we can make Happy Mums a safe haven for all.
