When we think of heart and circulatory disease, we perhaps don't realise that it can affect younger people. The programme “In A Heartbeat” is launching tomorrow and will aim to answer questions about heart and circulatory disease and underscore the urgent need to address its causes. Watch the trailer here. Last night The Meriden Hospital hosted a free patient event delivered by Mr Westerman who discussed the treatment options for hip and knee pain. There was also a celebration after achieving the milestone of 100 hip and knee Mako procedures. Robotic-assisted surgery is becoming increasingly popular as patients can expect a quicker recovery time and improved outcomes. The event was assisted by Anaesthetist Mr Ramesh Sadasiva and patients enjoyed a lovely cake provided by the team at Stryker

He specialises in upper limb surgery and general trauma. Meet one of new consultants 🙌 Mr Jakub Kozdryk Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon Mr Jakub Kozdryk is an accomplished Trauma and Orthopaedic surgeon with a specific interest in the management of hip and knee osteoarthritis. He performs both primary and complex primary hip and knee replacements. In addition to primary joint arthroplasty, he has comprehensive expertise in revision hip and knee arthroplasty. Mr Kozdryk also has a special interest in tackling complex and challenging cases involving periprosthetic joint infection, massive bone loss, and periprosthetic fractures.
