The planning, managing, and regulation of the UK's #waterindustry is under scrutiny by The Independent Water Commission, chaired by Sir Jon Cunliffe. Launching the Call for Evidence on the 27th of February, Sir Jon Cunliffe emphasised that the Commission is open-minded and months away from the recommendations stage but there were indications that reform could be extensive. The Commission cited the following consistently raised issues and invited more detail – and specifically hard evidence – on key areas that need attention: ⚖️ The need for strategic coordination across sectors 🎯 The need for clear long-term planning 📜 The complexity and volume of water industry regulation 👀 Concerns about regulatory oversight including where regulators’ remits overlap 📈 The need for fair and stable returns to investors 🚾 The need for an improved infrastructure resilience framework #waternews #ukwater Sign up and recieve the full in-depth article: https://lnkd.in/g2hUFWNv

The UK Water Report reposted this
A big thanks to Karma Loveday for writing an excellent piece about our journey and ambitions in this month’s edition of The UK Water Report. The feature highlights the current nature crisis in the UK and how well-designed and regulated markets can efficiently deliver verified environmental improvements for nature recovery. At EnTrade, we are proud of the progress we’ve made to date across the Bristol Avon and Somerset Catchment Markets and look forward to new opportunities thanks to our partnership with Arup – helping us scale up our online markets on a national level.
