💙 Joe Wicks at Affinity Water! 💙 Last week, our HQ was filled with excitement as Joe Wicks’ Body Coach team joined us to hear how our colleagues are using the Joe Wicks Body Coach app. A special highlight? Our Men’s Mental Health Group had an exclusive live Q&A with Joe Wicks himself! He shared valuable insights on men’s health, nutrition, sleep, and the power of physical activity for mental wellbeing. Joseph Hall, Director of Health, Safety & Estates, shared: "It was great to discuss key topics around health and wellbeing with Joe. He was incredibly personable and provided tailored advice to our colleagues. It was fantastic to see him championing our commitment to better health at Affinity Water." Our colleagues had the opportunity to share their experiences with the Body Coach team, showcasing how the app is supporting their fitness, nutrition, and overall wellbeing goals. We’re proud to be one of the first corporate users of the Body Coach app – and the team were so impressed, that they’ll be featuring us as a ‘Best Practice’ case study in their upcoming promotional video! A huge thank you to Joe Wicks and his team for an inspiring session! We’re committed to supporting our colleagues’ wellbeing and it’s great to see the impact of initiatives like this. #wellbeing #mentalhealth #fitness #influencer #bodycoach #mensmentalhealth #nutrition

This week, the Executive Leadership Team swapped their usual roles to volunteer with Small Acts of Kindness, packing Warm in Winter gift bags for elderly residents in Hertfordshire. 🎁 Since 2014, this incredible charity has distributed over 15,000 gift bags each year, providing essentials like fleece blankets, thermal socks, hot drinks, and more to help keep people warm when heating their homes is a struggle. Our partnership with Small Acts of Kindness began in 2020 with support from our Inclusive Services team, and it’s grown into something truly special. Emma Davies, our Director of People and Culture, shared: "Packing these bags was a truly humbling experience. It was rewarding to take time out to support a charity that makes such a difference to so many people." It's fantastic to see how a small acorn of a partnership has developed into a great oak with our Executive Leadership Team doing their bit!
