✨30TH ANNIVERSARY TIC+ STARS✨ And just like that, our 30th Anniversary Stars are coming to a close, and we're delighted to announce the final two winners🤩 🏃🏼♀️Lucy Crump – Starting on the 4th of October, Lucy will embark on the gruelling Atlantic Coast Path Challenge. This incredible challenge involves running, walking, or even crawling 78.6 miles over 3 days along one of the country’s wildest coastlines! That’s the equivalent of 3 marathons in 3 days🤯 The route begins in the stunning seaside town of Padstow and ends at Land’s End, the most southern point of the UK. Lucy is taking on this extraordinary challenge in support of TIC+, helping us continue our vital work with young people aged 9-25 in Gloucestershire. 🏃🏼Jacques Herbst - At the beginning of June, Jacques Herbst from Abbey Business Interiors, who has selected TIC+ as their charity of the year, embarked on an incredible challenge to cover 300 miles in just one month👀 Despite a challenging start and some early mornings, by the end of June, Jacques had logged an incredible 300 miles, 655,722 steps, 680 floors climbed, and burned 127,000 calories! He truly embodies the spirit of a 30th Anniversary TIC+ Star🌟 Congratulations to both Lucy & Jacques on being the final recipients of the 30th Anniversary TIC+ Stars👏🏻 Thanks to Zurich Community Trust who’ve chosen us as one of their charities of the year, each winner will receive a wonderful £25 gift voucher! JOHN'S EPIC JOURNEY: From John O’ Groats to Land’s End ✅ This past week, John and his team embarked on an extraordinary adventure, cycling from John O’ Groats to Land’s End, the northernmost point in Scotland to the southernmost point in England, all for TIC+🤯 After cycling a staggering 1,184 miles and conquering 17,200 metres of hills, they faced it all: 4 major bridges, 3 ferries, a wheel hub failure, a puncture, a bike rack failure and even losing a team member due to injury. ✨30TH ANNIVERSARY TIC+ STARS✨ We're delighted to announce the next 2 winners of our 30th Anniversary TIC+ Stars! 📚 Wyedean School – In July, Nia from our Fundraising team visited Wyedean School Sixth Form Centre, where students took part in First Give’s fantastic initiative. Each group presented a 5-minute pitch on a charity of their choice, with a panel of four judges deciding which charity would win the £1,000 prize. Although we narrowly missed out on the top prize, it was a great honour to be selected as a finalist. As a token of our appreciation, we are proud to recognise the staff and pupils of Wyedean School as TIC+ 30th Anniversary Stars🌟 ✏️ Forest View Primary School – Kerryann from our Boys in Mind team had the pleasure of delivering our new interactive workshop to a group of Forest View Primary School students. The students eagerly engaged with the material, learning about mental health and the free mental health services available throughout Gloucestershire. Had such a wonderful day at representing TIC+ at Hartpury University and Hartpury College Wellfest! It was amazing to meet so many young people and have an opportunity to raise awareness of the services we have to offer. John is raising vital funds to support young people aged 9-25 in Gloucestershire, ensuring they have someone to talk to when they need it most! 💚Vivien Greenow – 17 years ago, Viv took a leap and joined the TIC+ family! Over these remarkable years, Viv has embraced various roles, from Admin and Referrals to Fundraising. Today, she is our Payroll Coordinator. What began with managing just 3 payslips has grown to overseeing over 140 as our organisation has expanded. Viv’s incredible work ethic has been crucial to our success. 👫John & Melanie Trueman – When both John and Melanie were in their 20’s they decided to support our founder, Nathan, in his new mental health venture. Just years later, they became our first Trustees and have been instrumental in guiding TIC+ ever since. Their dedication and commitment have been exceptional, providing invaluable support. Their passion for our cause and their relentless efforts have helped shape the direction of our organisation. John and Melanie have been crucial in ensuring we continue to make a meaningful impact in Gloucestershire. ✨30TH ANNIVERSARY TIC+ STARS✨ We're delighted to announce the first 3 winners of our 30th Anniversary TIC+ Stars! 🏅Andy Lewis - At just 16, Andy faced a life-changing motorcycle accident that led to the amputation of his right leg at 22. But that didn't hold him back. In 2013, he took up paratriathlon and proudly represented Team GB at the 2016 Rio Olympics, where he made history by winning gold🥇 After retiring from competitive paratriathlon in 2020, Andy launched Bespoke Mentoring, a mental health business, & has also started another business called ‘inspires to Tri’. Since retirement Andy has continued his inspiring work to support Gloucestershire’s disabled community👏🏻 🏋🏼Nathan Fisher - In 2011, Nathan proudly represented Team GB in Powerlifting at the Special Olympics in Greece. Just two days before competing, he fell ill in Athens and ended up on a drip. But in true champion style, Nathan fought through and went on to win gold🥇 silver🥈 and bronze🥉 medals! Fast forward to 2022, Nathan was part of the Forest and Wye Community Church Virtual London Marathon relay, raising funds for TIC+. What a journey🤩 🏃🏼Cheltenham & County Harriers - Throughout this year, Cheltenham & County Harriers have been raising money for TIC+ by hosting a variety of events. Over the course of 7 events, they have raised an incredible £450🤯 But they’re not stopping there! On the 5th of October, they’ll be hosting a celebration evening, with all proceeds going to TIC+.
