Thank you to everyone who has already donated to the Jordan Winter Charity Drive! So far we have collected over 1.5 tons of donations which will be distributed to various local charities each week. Visit the Estate during the allocated donating times to deliver your donation and collect your wine. (Daily from 10:00 – 16:00.) All clothing donations should be washed and folded as a health and safety precaution for our staff. All clothing donations should be packed in clear plastic bags. NO BLACK BAGS of clothing will be accepted. Dog and cat food is appreciated. Every Guide Dog handler - and Guide Dog - is different. Part of building an effective team is finding the right dog for the client. Although a team working together can look like magic, we often don't see the communication and bond between a dog and their handler. The handler will direct the dog using their orientation skills, and the dog will help their handler navigate around obstacles, stop at kerbs and locate objectives. Some dogs are better at certain aspects of these "guiding skills" than others - so part of the matching process is understanding the dog's strengths and weaknesses and pairing them with a client with a complimentary skillset. The team works together to travel safely and confidently - it's not as magic as it appears! It's #givingtuesday and I'm curious to know what organizations are close to your heart? I've been supporting the Animal Protective Association of Missouri as a volunteer, foster and even as a part time adoption coordinator since 2010. Witnessing the incredible growth and impact of the organization has been truly inspiring. The APA's work not only transforms the lives of animals but also leaves a lasting positive effect on our community. If you're looking for ways to make a difference, here are a few of my favorite ways to support this incredible organization: 🐾 Volunteer: From dog walking to socializing with cats and dogs, assisting adopters, to participating in fundraising events – there are numerous volunteer opportunities that cater to various interests. 🏡 Adopt, Don't Shop: Rather than paying thousands for a trendy mixed breed, try visiting a local shelter. They've got the best mixes and even pure breeds that are looking for loving homes. You can find any type, activity level, age and disposition in your local shelter. 📲 Follow and Engage: Stay connected with APA on social media to be the first to know about upcoming initiatives and events. Your likes, shares, and engagement amplify the impact of their message. 🎁 Donate: Whether it's gently used items like blankets and towels or new supplies like collars, toys, and bowls, or monetary support every contribution counts. It's a simple yet impactful way to make a meaningful difference. I encourage you to get involved with an organization that makes a difference in your community on this Giving Tuesday!

It's really easy for your PATnic guests to make a donation on the day. To give £10, all you need to do is text PATNIC to 70085. You can also choose an amount from £1 to £20 and simply add that number after PATNIC. For example, to donate £5 text PATNIC5 to 70085 and to donate £20 text PATNIC20 to 70085. Please Gift Aid your donation if you can. Texts will cost the donation amount plus one standard network rate message. What is a PATnic? It's a picnic with a difference – and everyone is invited! Host a PATnic with your family, friends, neighbours, work colleagues and pets, and have fun while raising money for Pets As Therapy. We're inviting our volunteers, establishments, supporters, YOU to host a PATnic and raise funds for Pets As Therapy. It's a chance for people and pets to come together to chat, share food and drink, perhaps play games and take photos. With your help, the money raised at PATnics will ensure that we can continue to visit people in local communities.
