Working to ensure that every young person has someone to talk to.

About us

TIC+ is a mental health charity working to ensure that every young person has someone to talk to. We have been working to achieve this goal since 1994, and today we provide face-to-face and online counselling and support to young people aged 9-21 in Gloucestershire. We are constantly working to reach more young people and in 2016 we launched an online counselling service which allows people to talk to a qualified counsellor who can refer them on for counselling sessions, as well as having counselling sessions, using only a phone or computer. Our research told us that young people really valued the option of online counselling and we have had positive results. Over 95% of those asked in the last 12 months felt that the counselling services we provide had helped. At the core of TIC+ is our dedicated team of over 50 counsellors, all carefully selected for their specialist experience and qualifications in working with young people. Our counsellors practice a range of therapies, for children, young people and families, including CBT, play, equine and other therapies. We work with statutory agencies, commissioning groups and other voluntary agencies. You can talk to us about commissioning our services by emailing info@ticplus.org.uk or by phoning us directly. Find out more about us at www.ticplus.org.uk and see what we’re up to on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Never mind anything else happening today, 4th July, this is what's got us talking at TIC+!! What an absolutely heroic effort by Jacques and an incredible total to raise! 🌟 Thank you so much, Jacques, for all you have done and for helping make a difference to children, young people and parents in Gloucestershire.💜💜 We hope your feet are getting a rest! 👣

WE HAVE THE GRAND TOTAL FOR JACQUES JUNE CHALLENGE.... 🥁 Jacques completed 302.43 miles across June all to raise money (£1,170 so far!!!!) and awareness for our chosen charity TIC+ 👏 😊 Here's a little from Jacques' on how he's found the challenge... "I found the first two weeks particularly difficult. Getting into the routine of being on the road by 5 in the morning was tough. My feet also suffered a bit to start with but as the month wore on it became easier on both counts. There were a few points where I nearly said sod this (an alarm at 4:40am when you’re not going on holiday can create some irrational responses), but knowing that I had committed to raising money for the charity is what kept me going." A big thank you to everyone who has supported, but there's still time to get involved! https://lnkd.in/eh6-NcuA For those who don't know about the great work TIC+ do, here's a little overview. TIC+ started life in 1993, becoming a registered charity with the Charity Commission in 1994, serving Gloucestershire and surrounding areas. TIC+ reaches hundreds of children and young people every year as well as offering support and advice to parents/carers and training for professionals. We work to ensure that every young person has easy, prompt, independent access to appropriate support according to their needs. Finally, a huge congratulations to Jacques! We think it's time you go rest those feet and catch up on some sleep! 🍻 👏

Head of Operations Development - tic+

At TIC+ we all now have the opportunity for all staff to take paid volunteering days that enable us to spend time doing the activities outside of work that we value and enjoy. Today I have been setting up the site for our cub camp at Cirencester deer park this weekend where my cub pack will join over 1200 cubs and brownies (plus leaders!) by taking part in Evolution 2024. Big thank you to TIC+ for today - it’s given the day an extra level of value. Here’s to a sunny, fun filled (and somewhat sleep deprived) weekend TIC+ The Scouts
