    94 SAFFRON HILL, EC1: PRESS RELEASE CIBSE acquires new Farringdon HQ in move to Central London. The Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) has purchased 91-94 Saffron Hill EC1N, a 16,608 sq ft office building in the City of London, from 1908 Property Holdings Limited for £7.55 million. 91-94 Saffron Hill is arranged over lower ground, ground and three upper floors. CIBSE will take vacant possession as owner-occupier of the second and third floors for its new central London headquarters, with the building also offering additional income through the ground and lower ground floors being subject to a short-term sale and leaseback to the vendor, and the first floor being let to Gamcare, which has opted to extend its lease. The vendor, 1908 Property Holdings Limited, a subsidiary of Dentists’ Provident, are an insurance specialist for the dental profession, were advised by Tuckerman Commercial. Dentists’ Provident will relocate to their new HQ at Holyer House, 20-21 Red Lion Court, EC4 towards the end of the year. Allsop advised CIBSE on the acquisition of its new Central London office through its specialist City Investment team. Philip Martin, Director (Investment) at Tuckerman, said: “CIBSE’s decision to relocate from Balham to Central London and Dentists’ Providents’ decision to remain close to the City reaffirms the importance of companies targeting locations that benefit from numerous amenities and transport links.”

    Thank you to London Property Alliance (CPA & WPA) for inviting Ben Fisher to speak at the Southwark in Focus event and be a part of the wider panel discussion alongside Emma Cariaga, Nic Durston and Neil Kirby on this vibrant and exciting central London sub market, which was expertly chaired by Sophie Morgan. Drawing on the findings of our #GoodGrowthinCentralLondon report, the seminar unpacked Southwark’s recent rise, which is reflected by the borough granting the second highest volume of major office floorspace – approx. 2.5m sq ft between January 2023 and May 2024. Insights from the session included: 🏙The perfect formula of product, place and price is important in attracting occupiers and maintaining the diverse business ecosystem that is vital to the borough’s success. 🚆The positive impact previous plans to extend the Bakerloo line could have for the whole of Southwark and its key opportunity areas such as Old Kent Road. 🔬5m sq ft of new space to accommodate the growing life science sector will be coming to Canada Water, with a particular focus on delivering “plug and play” modular buildings to retain incubator businesses.

    The LHQ Hub App has officially been launched! I’m delighted to share the final stage of our London Heritage Quarter rebrand is now complete. I’ve always felt it’s part of our role as Business Improvement Districts to promote the capital’s businesses on the biggest scale possible. With that in mind, Victoria, Victoria Westminster, Whitehall, and The Northbank Districts now operate under a single umbrella brand of London Heritage Quarter. The soft launch took place a while back, and after a year of testing, the full rebrand has now taken place. We have simplified and updated the London Heritage Quarter website, logo, email addresses and refreshed uniforms for our integral street teams. To support our rebrand, we’re celebrating all things ‘heritage’ this summer – hopefully you’ll have seen our new branding across underground ticket gateways, on our family-friendly AR trail throughout the footprint, and on the banners down Strand featuring artwork from The National Gallery, Tate Britain, Courtauld Institute of Art, U. of London, St Mary le Strand and The RSA (The royal society for arts, manufactures and commerce). The final stage of our brand update is our transition away from our printed plastic privilege cards, aligning with our environmental goals, to a new London Heritage Quarter app. The LHQ Hub App has now been launched and will allow our workers and residents to access offers from across all four BID footprints. A huge thanks to all those who joined us for our rooftop app launch at the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) last week, we hope you enjoyed the stunning views!
