An exciting year ahead as the new Cruise Season launches! Belfast will welcome first time calls from 10 cruise ships this year as part of a cruise season that will see more than 145 calls to Belfast Harbour from some of the world’s best known cruise lines. Cruise Belfast, the partnership between Belfast Harbour and Visit Belfast which markets the city as a leading cruise ship destination, has announced that the first cruise call of the seven-month season will be on March 30. During the 2025 season there will be 146 calls by 57 ships from 31 different cruise lines – including 13 by Belfast’s most frequent caller, Princess Cruises' ‘Regal Princess’. Among the ships calling at Belfast for the first time will be Viking’s newest vessel, the ‘Viking Vela’, which will be the first cruise ship to dock in the city in 2025, with Virgin Voyages first ship ‘Scarlet Lady’ will also be making its inaugural visit to Belfast in August. The largest vessel that will be visiting Belfast this year will once again be the 333 metre-long MSC Cruises Preziosa. For more information https://bit.ly/4bXI2HY

Proud to be part of the team welcoming the Comhaltas Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann to Belfast in August 2026. #Belfast #VisitBelfast #FleadhCheoil #Music #FleadhBelfast26
Some really positive news for #Belfast today - we have officially been named as the host of Comhaltas Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann in August 2026! The announcement was made at City Hall this afternoon by organisers Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann (CCÉ) following a bid by our council, along with our partners Ards CCÉ. Last year's event in Wexford included over 400 events over eight days, attracting more than 650,000 visitors and delivering an economic value of around £58 million to the region. Now it's all systems go for 2-9 August 2026, which also marks the 75th anniversary of Comhaltas and the 50th anniversary of Ards CCÉ. We can't wait to develop our programme for what promises to be a really special milestone event for our city! Today's announcement was attended by leading figures from the traditional music, tourism and hospitality sectors and there's such a buzz already for #FleadhBelfast26, as this short video shows.
