Sustainability in action at Woodberry Down 🌍 We’re supporting Berkeley Group Plc in their ambitious mission to create a sustainable, energy-efficient neighbourhood comprising over 5,500 homes at Woodberry Down, located right next to Finsbury Park. As part of this 30-year regeneration project, we’ve designed and built a brand-new energy centre, featuring air source heat pumps and a network of district heating pipe to supply low-carbon heat across all eight phases of the development. Viewing windows allow residents and passers-by to look into the energy centre to see the tech behind their sustainable energy. Read more about this latest project with Berkeley, which forms part of a longstanding relationship spanning over 16 years: https://lnkd.in/e4547g47 #heatpumps #heatnetworks #sustainability #greenenergy #energyefficiency

Solihull's town centre energy network in 2024 – A year of progress We hit some major milestones on the Solihull Energy Network since it was announced last year and our team are working hard, alongside Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council to deliver the project. Just a few milestone achievements reached in the first year include: ✅ Key pipework laid at Tudor Grange Academy, Solihull College and the Core ✅ Homer Road first phase enabling works completed ahead of schedule ✅ 1,500m of insulated district heating pipework installed to date This innovative network will offer: * Up to 50% carbon emissions reduction * Highly efficient and affordable heat and power * Enhanced energy price resilience The network has a futureproofed design so it can grow throughout the town. We’re looking to keep up the pace of progress in 2025 and have already begun delivering the piling for the energy centre which will be at the heart of the project. #heatnetworks #yourfuturesolihull #cleanerenergy #districtheating

Heat network projects present great opportunities to get to know local communities, learn about the challenges they face and make valuable contributions which can create an impactful, long-lasting legacy. As part of the Duffryn Heat Network Replacement Scheme we were able to partner with our client, Newport City Homes to identify the organisations which make Duffryn such a special community and work with them to improve the lives of the residents. From the local foodbank and charities, through to the over 55 community, Duffryn Dragons and local schools, we’re extremely grateful for the warm welcome we received, and we’ve put together a video to celebrate some of the relationships created whilst delivering this project. #partnership #lowcarbon #districtheating #wales #heatnetworks #socialvalue #communities

Are you ready for the heat network revolution? Heat network zoning promises to turbo charge the growth of district heating in the UK, making it easier for networks to be developed and delivered. Leeds PIPES offers a fascinating glimpse into the future by pioneering many of the concepts set to become standard. From using the planning process to encourage connections, to implementing a Local Development Order, Leeds City Council has demonstrated how a heat network can use the available tools to become one of the UK’s largest heat networks in just 6 years. Our Design Director, Lee Moran spoke to CIBSE Journal about how Leeds PIPES has changes the face of citywide district heating. Here's why Leeds PIPES is a game-changer: 🚀30km of pipework, expanding, on average, 5km annually 🚀Cutting carbon emissions by 6,000 tonnes in 2023 alone 🚀3,000+ dwellings connected 🚀Serving many of Leeds' most iconic buildings What’s the recipe? Smart design, data-driven optimisation, effective partnerships and a dash of ingenuity! To read the full article, click here: https://lnkd.in/eGqXeHT3 #heatnetworks #districtheating #leeds #netzero
