✨ First-Of-Its-Kind WOD Design Tour at Workspace Design Show London ✨ Women in Office Design (WOD) was thrilled to host a Design Tour at the Workspace Design Show, bringing the concept of connecting the exhibits with a topic. We kicked off with a thought-provoking discussion on Designing for the Senses, exploring how workplaces can enhance well-being and productivity through senses. To deepen the experience, we curated a tour of five innovative exhibitors whose products embody sensory-driven design. Each exhibitor presented for five minutes, showcasing how their solutions create healthier, more engaging workspaces. A huge thank you to our speakers, exhibitors, and attendees for making this tour a success! It was inspiring to see how sensory design is shaping the future of work: Vantage Spaces, CECOCECO, Interface, Brunner GmbH, Workstories, Gurvinder Khurana, May Fawzy, Harsha Kotak, Muriel Altunaga Aguirre, Julie Lecoq, Ashley Jones, Lauren Thompson. Missed the tour? We hope to make this tour bigger next year so that we can include more people from our community. #WOD #WorkspaceDesignShow #DesignTour #DesignForTheSenses #OfficeDesign #WorkplaceInnovation

WOD Design tour at Workspace Design Show London will be led by women leaders from our industry; Gurvinder Khurana, May Fawzy, Harsha Kotak, Muriel Altunaga Aguirre, Julie Lecoq, Lauren Thompson and Ashley Jones. The idea of this WOD exhibit tour led by a topic, is that we wanted to move away from the typical panel discussion format and make it more engaging. An informal and conversational event to engage more young designers in the conversation. The group conversation titled: Designing for Senses - will be followed by a tour of 5 selected products (selected based on our discussion topic) at the exhibit and will end with networking drinks. If you'd like to join us, please contact; Lauren Thompson - lauren.thompson@woduk.com Ashley Jones - ashley@woduk.com #womeninofficedesign #WorkspaceDesignShow

Our first UK event of 2025 was an inspiring tour of MCM, where Ana Rita Martins and Maria Alejandra Taylor shared how being a B Corp company shapes their approach to design. Yet another insightful studio tour by WOD UK team Lauren Thompson , Ashley Jones & Harsha Kotak The design of MCM’s studio showcases their core values, incorporating circular design concepts, sustainable materials, and second-life furniture and products. MCM’s commitment to B Corp values also extends to their supply chain and companies they partner with, such as with The Glasshouse - a social enterprise that maintains the studio’s vibrant greenery while offering second chances to women prisoners nearing the end of their sentences. We were privileged to hear from Netti Braun-Rosen from The Glasshouse, who shared her powerful and inspiring story. As part of the studio tour event - and in alignment with empowering women - Lauren Parmar (MOOD LDN) led a dynamic coaching taster session. She guided the group in setting meaningful intentions for 2025 and provided practical tools to help us shape a new self-concept for the year ahead. #womeninofficedesign

A Call for HELP! To all my peers in the industry, we need your help. At WOD - Women in Office Design, we frequently hear from junior designers and fresh graduates who are struggling to break into the industry. The most common story we hear - “I applied for a job but was told I don't have enough prior experience.” Sounds familiar? It’s the classic ‘chicken and egg’ dilemma – what comes first, the job or the experience? As an industry, how are we helping solve this issue for the hundreds of talented graduates who are ready to contribute but can’t get their foot in the door? We’re looking to change this. If you or your company are hiring junior team members who can support with design, drafting, materials research, library management, and more, please reach out to me directly at hello@woduk.com. It’s time we act as an industry to make real changes and create opportunities for the next generation of talent. Rant over! :) Tagging my contacts and partners to help spread the word. Please repost, share with your HR teams, and let’s do our part to make a difference. Thank you!
