Forbes today unveiled its 2024 Top Creators List, the third-annual definitive ranking of the 50-highest earning, most influential social media-savvy stars across TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter and other social platforms. Entrepreneurial creators are growing their stake in the media and advertising industry and challenging the traditional marketing strategies of these industries by tapping their massive fan bases. This year the 50 Top Creators are continuing to prove their growing capital in the global economy as well, the list members estimated to have earned nearly $720 million cumulatively, up from 2023's $700 million. Their audiences are also growing – the creators on this year’s list have more than 2.75 billion combined followers, up from 2.6 billion in 2023, expanding their global reach and influence on several demographics, especially Gen Z.
#ForbesTopCreators 2024: The Influencers Turning Buzz Into Billions The influencer industry is estimated to be worth $250 billion today, and Goldman Sachs predicts the number will swell to nearly $500 billion by 2027. https://trib.al/l5mExeW

Wake up ⏰ , ☕️ Brew-tiful News Alert! 😄🌍🌟 As someone born Italy 🇮🇹, I’ve always admired Lavazza ☕️, so collaborating with them on a campaign to celebrate 20 years of the Fondazione Lavazza was a dream come true. As a coffee lover, visiting their home in Turin and tasting the best coffee of my life was unforgettable! ☕️😍 BTW If you’re ever there, don’t miss La Nuvola ☁️ and the coffee museum! This project started from a chat on the RTL AdAlliance beach in Cannes and grew into something special. We worked with the talented illustrator Sofie Birkin 🎨 to create vibrant illustrations of 20 inspiring people changing the coffee world for the better. The campaign launched just before International Coffee Day and is making a big impact globally already. Big thanks to Lavazza and the amazing team at BBC StoryWorks for making this happen. Let’s raise a cuppa to the changemakers! ☕️🙌 UK - https://lnkd.in/gHN5AJjJ Global - https://lnkd.in/gzRUHvXg #CoffeeChangemakers #LavazzaFoundation #CreativeCampaign #brandedcontent #Turin #SofieBirkin #BBCStoryWorks #InternationalCoffeeDay #CoffeeLover #ad #illustrations

NEW: According to an analysis from Mantis, two-fifths (41%) of publishers' Halloween content and horror film reviews are being blocked from receiving advertising this Halloween season. Brands and their agencies using keyword blocklists that include words such as “kill”, “blood”, “horror”, “scary”, “attack”, “death” and “terror” are disallowing ads from appearing next to obviously brand-safe articles about Halloween, including Good Food recipes or articles about local Halloween events. Mantis MD Fiona Salmon said the industry has been “zombie-like in its reluctance to waver from keyword blocklists, despite their obvious negative impact”. Full story on The Media Leader UK: Mantis

Learning a language is hard. As a lot of you know, when I'm not working I'm mainly struggling through French lessons... But there's a new language that we're all going to have to get fluent in: the language of generative AI. Once you think of GenAI as another language to learn, it opens up a lot of useful metaphors and tools to help. Like learning French, the trick is to use it every day, get comfortable making mistakes, and track your progress so you can celebrate the wins... This report from Brilliant Noise on 'Building AI Literacy' does a great job outlining a fluency framework for AI, which you can use to see how you and your team are doing, and where you need to focus your efforts. Well worth a read. Bonne chance! https://lnkd.in/e_FzK8bF Antony Mayfield #ai #digitaltraining #genAI #AItraining #teamtraining

When asked recently, barely half of Americans said they were confident that their vote would be accurately counted. It is no wonder, given the rhetorical and physical attacks on our democracy these last few years, that many voters share the same fear. For our new cover story, we asked Barton Gellman, a former TIME editor-at-large and Pulitzer Prize-winning national security reporter, for his answer to a simple question: Is your vote safe? We publish his reporting in the spirit of the rest of our coverage of this campaign, aiming to provide trusted guidance so that you can better understand the candidates and the policies they would implement. Your vote is safe. Go use it. https://lnkd.in/eDX2FfGT
