For the past 5 years, we have been working on and submitting applications for a new heating system at our Cosby Primary School which is part of SUCCESS ACADEMY TRUST. This year it was successful and we are delighted that we will now see the benefit of a more efficient heating system helping us to achieve our reduction in carbon footprint targets. Works are now underway at Meadowdale Primary School for our client, Learn Academies Trust (Learn-AT)! YMD Boon successfully secured #CIF funding to replace two outdated buildings with a modern facility. We are now providing multidisciplinary services throughout the project, with Ideal Building Systems Ltd appointed to carry out the works. The project involves the removal of two mobile units and the construction of a single-storey building featuring four classrooms, WC facilities and ancillary spaces, alongside landscaping and the relocation of a bike store. Since Sept 2023, when the initial plans were submitted we are delighted to have been handed the keys to our new building which replaced our old mobile building. This is a great asset to Hallbrook Primary School part of SUCCESS ACADEMY TRUST It has been great to work with YMD Boon and R. J. Stones to complete this project.

Roof Replacement Complete for Bradgate Education Partnership ✅   YMD Boon successfully secured #CIF funding to undertake a full roof replacement at Cobden Primary School, a Victorian-style building with dual-pitched slate roofs. The original slate coverings were in poor condition, with slumped insulation in the roof voids contributing to significant heat loss. Signs of water ingress across multiple areas confirmed the roof had reached the end of its serviceable life.   We provided multidisciplinary services throughout the project, with THOMAS CASSIE & SONS (LEICESTER) LTD appointed to carry out the works. The existing slates were removed down to the rafters and a new roofing system was installed with reconstituted slates and upgraded fiberglass insulation.   A great outcome for preserving the building and improving energy efficiency! #roofreplacement #reroofing #loughborough #leicestershire #primaryschool #education #cif #funding

👏 A fantastic start to 2025 at R1! 👏 We are delighted to announce that work has officially commenced on-site at Castle Donington College in Derbyshire.   This exciting project, undertaken for our valued client YMD Boon, will transform the college’s facilities. The scheme involves the demolition of an old, dilapidated, and disused gym building, paving the way for a brand-new, state-of-the-art gymnasium.
