Anyone who has ever worked at Yorkshire Building Society will tell you it’s the people that make our organisation so special. As we strive to deliver bold ambitions for our business, it’s our people that will make that happen. So, it stands to reason that they will play a leading role in shaping and influencing the culture we need to cultivate in order to realise those goals. Facing into what we need to change, as well as what we need to conserve, is important work, which is why we recently brought together a cross-section of colleagues to talk directly with senior leaders and members of our Board. Our client partnerships are so much more than the work we do. The IMA team recently joined forces with a team from Yorkshire Building Society in a volunteering day at FareShare UK, the UK’s biggest charity redistributing food.   All IMA colleagues have the opportunity to take volunteering days each year and we really enjoyed having the chance to spend time with the YBS team out of the office, doing something to support our local community.   In addition to the volunteering time, IMA donated £16,000 to FareShare, which will be ringfenced to support the charities operations in Yorkshire.
