THE SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Our Summer Internship Program is an 8-week, paid internship designed to provide you with an exciting, supportive and fun experience which mirrors life as an Analyst at BlackRock. You’ll have real-world responsibilities during the summer, in addition to participating in professional development, networking and social events.

The Summer Internship Program takes place in June – August 2025 and acts as a feeder to the Full-Time Analyst Program for the following year.

Client & Product Functions

Deliver value to clients through the development, distribution and management of products and services.

You can be considered for roles in: Product Strategy & Solutions, Research & Markets Advisory, Sales & Relationship Management - Institutional & Retail, Sales & Relationship Management - FinTech Platform

Locations: London, Edinburgh, Frankfurt, Milan, Paris, Munich, Cape Town, Riyadh, Dubai and other EMEA locations

Corporate & Strategic Functions

Manage and support the overall business strategy, operations and risk management of the firm.

You can be considered for roles in: Business Management & Governance, Business & Technology Audit, Finance, Human Resources, Legal & Compliance, Marketing & Corporate Communications, Risk, Strategic Clients & Initiatives

Locations: Budapest, Edinburgh & London

Investments

Build and analyse investment strategies, portfolios and products for a broad range of institutional and retail clients.

You can be considered for roles in: Investment Research, Portfolio Management, Private Markets Investing, Product Strategy & Solutions, Quantitative Investing, Trading & Securities Lending

Locations: London, Edinburgh, Frankfurt, Zurich and other EMEA locations

Operations

Operations works with teams across the organization to deliver a seamless investment management process.

You can be considered for roles in: Client Experience Operations, Data Operations, Investment Operations, Technology Operations

Locations: Budapest, Edinburgh & London

Technology

We are working with Big Data, creating new digital products and always looking for a chance to disrupt our industry for the better. There is a real sense of purpose to our work in that we’re innovating to solve some of the world’s most complex challenges in order to help more and more people experience financial well-being.

You can be considered for roles in: Analytics & Modeling, Artificial Intelligence, Sales & Relationship Management - FinTech Platform, Software Engineering, Technology Operations

Locations: Budapest, Belgrade, Edinburgh & London

ELIGIBILITY

Candidates should be in their penultimate year of studies and graduating from an undergraduate or a master’s degree program in 2026. We welcome applications from candidates studying any degree subject.

Please note local language fluency is required to work at our Continental Europe locations. However, only English is required for Budapest or for a position within Private Markets Investing in Zurich.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Candidates can apply for only one program (e.g. Summer Internship Program or Quantitative Master’s Internship Program) and up to two functions within that program (e.g., Investment Research and Analytics & Modeling). You must apply for both opportunities using the same program application.

Once you submit your application, you will receive an email to complete a pre-interview assessment. You have up to five days to submit your pre-interview assessment; if you fail to do so, your application will be automatically withdrawn.

If you withdraw your application, you cannot submit another application.

APPLICATION DEADLINES

  • Investments business areas: 27th September 2024
  • All other business areas: 25th October 2024

The recruitment process takes place throughout the autumn semester. In some businesses, certain teams may recruit through to early next year. Please note, we recruit on a rolling basis and encourage you to apply as soon as you’re ready.
