Alumni Engagement Officer (University of Liverpool Management School)

Earlier this year I was very lucky to have received the Virginia Carter Smith Scholarship through CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education). The award is named for a legendary CASE employee, Virginia "Ginny" Carter Smith, who served CASE and its members with unwavering passion and dedication from 1975 until retiring in 1991. Among her many roles, Smith oversaw books, publications, communications, conferences and the committee to advance minorities and women 💙 In my current role, CASE has been a fantastic way for me to develop my skills and experience and connect with other like-minded professionals through our work in alumni relations, communications, marketing, fundraising and advancement services. 🎓 For anyone in my network who has recently graduated or are about to graduate... CASE Europe partners with world class universities and not-for-profit organisations to offer a unique hands-on learning experience. On their one-year graduate trainee programme, you'll explore roles in educational fundraising, alumni relations and communications or marketing, collectively known as the advancement profession. This is a BRILLIANT opportunity for talented individuals to contribute towards the transformational impact of education, whether increasing philanthropic support, engaging alumni or helping to build an institution’s reputation ✨ Anyone looking to find out more, you can see full details about the Trainee Programme here 🔗 https://lnkd.in/emkM-xaz CASE Europe, #VirginiaCarterSmithScholarship #CASEEurope #graduateopportunities #alumnirelations #educationalfundraising #CASEGraduateTrainee

Have you previously attended a CASE Institute? Let us know your highlights and cohort year in the comments! In Europe, we are pleased to offer the Alumni Relations Institute, Marketing and Communications Institute and Spring Institute in Educational Fundraising for early-career professionals or those who have recently joined the education sector. Plus, we held our first CASE Europe Institute in Frankfurt earlier this year! Registration is now open for our 2025 foundational Institutes: https://lnkd.in/eMAb8k5m

Here’s a fun fact from CASE history: In 1975, we launched the first Summer Institutes in the U.S.! This snapshot was taken at an Institute in the '80s. Today, CASE also offers Institutes through our CASE Europe and CASE Asia-Pacific offices. CASE Institutes provide foundational learning into the core advancement disciplines. As part of this unique learning experience, delegates join faculty-led cohort groups to discuss topics in greater depth, exchange experiences and test ideas. If you've attended any, share some of your favorite moments with us! #CASE50th https://bit.ly/3Ytwyqs
