Applications are now open for our new coaching programme, Taming your Imposter: supporting female leaders in developing greater self-acceptance. Do you doubt your skills and competence? Do you set yourself impossibly high standards beyond reach? Or perhaps you credit your success to external factors, such as luck? Has this impacted your leadership and how you interact with your team? Everyone experiences impostor syndrome slightly differently, but if you have answered ‘yes’ to one or more of those questions, then come and explore how you can start to take some positive steps to free yourself from your imposter and develop a plan of action to live the life you deserve. Participants will work with a coach to gain self-awareness around their identity and begin to develop greater self-acceptance. It was great to be invited onto BBC News to discuss the government’s new AI Action Plan. I’ve been researching, innovating and developing AI technologies for almost 15 years and have always been passionate about it’s potential to transform every facet of our lives for the better, whilst being very mindful of the threats and issues that need to be carefully considered. Much of our work has been on the safety, regulatory compliance, legal and ethical aspects. Amidst the excitement of AI progress, be wary of those who have not put the hard yards in on this... I have seen the exciting possibilities of AI first hand. Our VirtTuri AI clinical informatics avatar platform is helping to deliver amazing results across healthcare, including 75% reductions in hospital admissions. This is being achieved through interactive AI avatars that engage across the entire population via 150 different languages, AI sign language, different interface ethnicity, age and gender, whilst cutting through neurodiversity and literacy barriers. Highly bespoke coordination and integration with amazing human orientated healthcare programmes is where we’re seeing the magic happen. Optimising, augmenting, or copiloting human capabilities as I see it. I have also been incredibly passionate about Suffolk and East Anglia being recognised as the UK’s leading location for AI research, development and commercialisation. We have more AI related patents generated in Suffolk than anywhere else in the U.K.. A truly amazing statistic. The National AI Awards were held in Suffolk last year with multiple winners coming from East Anglia, whose combined market cap was approaching £4 billion. Whilst East regional based academic institutions are world-beating in their AI research and business collaboration capabilities: University of Essex, University of East Anglia, University of Suffolk and University of Cambridge. This region truly can be a global hub for AI, and is an obvious candidate for the government’s designation of AI Growth Zones. The potential for better healthcare, personalised education delivery freeing up time for teachers, acceleration of green technology development (amongst infinite other possibilities) and the advent of a golden age of innovation driven by AI and quantum computing is tantalising. But, the question is can we fully grasp the opportunity and do that in a safe and sustainable way? #AIActionPlan #Innovation #BBCNews #AI #Healthcare #AIGrowthZones #Suffolk
