National Careers Week 2025! 🎊   What better time to reflect on our time at Marjory Kinnon SEND school? Our social value team tailored our six-week Kierriculum programme to show Y11 students at Marjory Kinnon career opportunities available within the construction industry. Sarah Hughes, community engagement manager in our Heathrow Quieter Neighbourhood Support Scheme team, worked with the students to help build their confidence, develop their interview techniques, and support them to think about potential career pathways. 🗣️ Jake Gowers, Assistant Head Teacher at Marjory Kinnon School, said about the six-week Kierriculum programme:  “Not only did they gain a better understanding of the roles and career paths in the construction sector, but through the series of practical and critical thinking tasks, the students increased their transferrable skills, and are more excited to hear about their career prospects. The resource links to the Gatsby Benchmarks and helped to increase and develop soft skills, as well as give thorough insight into the construction industry.” 👇 Watch the video below to learn more 👇  London Borough of Hounslow, Heathrow    #NationalCareersWeek #JoinKier #STEM

𝐊𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐮𝐦 𝐚𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐣𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥: 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐞! ✏️ 🏗️ 👷   We recently delivered our six-week education programme, Kierriculum, at Marjory Kinnon School, one of the largest SEND schools in the country. We worked with the Y11 students to explore careers in the construction industry, as part of our social value work in partnership with Heathrow and the London Borough of Hounslow, and delivered in conjunction with The Reach Foundation.   Our Community Engagement Manager Sarah Hughes worked with the students to design their own 3D kitchen, focusing on teamwork, design, leadership and communications. We loved their creativity!   We also explored interview techniques, supporting them to think about what they're really good at, and helping to build their confidence. 📈   We are so proud of the students and their efforts - and hope to see some of them in the construction industry one day 😃 #JoinKier #ConstructionRevolution #Kierriculum #SocialValue
