On 15/16 October Erik Veltman, Head of Ethics and Compliance for Procurement, GBS, Group Digital and IT at Rolls-Royce, was one of a number of senior compliance professionals from the public and private sectors who supported an OECD Working Party on public integrity in Paris, alongside delegates from over 50 countries. Over the two days the working party covered topics including: - Anti-corruption and public integrity reforms, such as the implementation of national lobby registers and enhancing data transparency across both public and private sectors; - A status update on an evolution of the OECD Public Integrity Indicators; and - A discussion on Galvanizing the Private Sector – as part of the public-private cooperation initiative that seeks to mobilise the private sector as key contributors in the fight against corruption. Ingrid Hampe, OECD Lead Policy Analyst Anti-Corruption and Integrity in Government expressed their thanks for Rolls-Royce’s support at the event: “Thank you very much for your engaging and insightful contributions to the OECD Working Party on Public Integrity and Anti-Corruption (PIAC). Your perspective enriched the discussion and provided delegates with useful insights on public-private sector engagement.” https://lnkd.in/eJh2A7Jt Erik Veltman

Today is the 25th anniversary of the OECD Anti-Bribery Convention. The OECD Anti-Bribery Convention came into force 25 years ago, on 15 February 1999. A legally binding international instrument, it has been pivotal in the fight against the bribery of foreign public officials in global business transactions. Key features of the OECD Anti-Bribery Convention include: ➡️ Criminalisation of active foreign bribery by individuals and companies ➡️ Jurisdiction over bribery offences committed abroad ➡️ Regular and rigorous monitoring of each country’s anti-bribery laws and actions ➡️ Cooperation among member countries Learn more about the Convention: https://brnw.ch/21wGZYq | Business and Finance at the OECD | #OECDintegrity

I was given a fantastic opportunity to talk about our Speak Up programme at #EBEF24 last week. It was a great two days with lots of valuable time spent talking to fellow ethics and compliance practitioners about current topics.
