Gymbox has partnered with Haringey Council and not-for-profit organisation, Raza Sana CIC, to give opportunities to those living in disadvantaged communities. 15 July saw the launch of a community street gym in Tottenham, in an area which has one of the highest crime rates in Haringey. The 120sq m Northumberland Park Street Gym includes equipment such as monkey bars, dip bars and pull-up bars. A summer activation programme is supporting the launch, providing free, accessible and inclusive exercise classes, including family exercise, youth and adult calisthenics and over-50s stretching and mobility. The project has been steered by Juan Lopez, the founder of Raza Sana, who grew up in a deprived area and felt that crime was the only option. Joining the army gave him a sense of rehabilitation by growing his mental strength and physical agility. The 63,000 capacity Suoyuwan Stadium in Dalian, China, is now complete! The stadium, designed by BDP Pattern and Buro Happold, draws inspiration from its waterfront location and maritime history, featuring a dynamic façade resembling cascading waves and seashells. Offering unparalleled sightlines, the stadium creates an intense atmosphere, blending sporting architecture with artistry. At night, LED lighting transforms it into a spectacle, while a double helix ramp provides stunning views of Dalian Bay.
