One week ago, The 40th International Symposium on Remote Sensing of Environment (ISRSE-40) kicked off, uniting world-renowned experts to share groundbreaking advancements in #EarthObservation & #RemoteSensing. From climate resilience to disaster response, the insights shared are shaping a future where technology plays a vital role in protecting our planet & its people. 🌱🔍 A huge thank you to everyone who attended and participated—it was an honor to host this incredible community here in Farnborough! 🙌 #ISRSE40 #Sustainability 

In my opinion, the most powerful message of The 40th International Symposium on Remote Sensing of Environment (ISRSE-40) was the one left unsaid, the one that was nor written nor staged. The session organizer was the veteran of the EOs market Barbara Ryan , one of the speaker was the founder of a new space-related company Agnieszka Lukaszczyk, PhD, and the opening address was given by Head of ESRI Simonetta Cheli. Finally women are not on stage to talk only about women. Things are changing, and I am honored to be part of this change. Thanks for the opportunity Barbara ❤️ Also nice to see Doris Klein and Ole Morten Olsen again!

With a focus on the commercial space age, this annual event is dedicated to connecting the global space ecosystem across industry, defense, government, and academia. The event was co-located with The 40th International Symposium on Remote Sensing of Environment (ISRSE-40), a world-renowned conference for sharing crucial and emerging knowledge in the pursuit of protecting the planet and its people. We’re pleased to see continued UK-Taiwan exchanges in the space sector - International Partnership Manager Tobias Marchant from Space South Central and Deputy Director General Vicky Chu from Taiwan Space Agency－TASA participated in the panel discussion "The Future of Earth Observation – Emerging Missions and Technologies." Additionally, DDG Chu was invited to deliver a keynote speech on "Taiwan’s Space-Based Remote Sensing Development & Applications." Great day at Farnborough International Space Show and The 40th International Symposium on Remote Sensing of Environment (ISRSE-40). What a buzz, and loved catching up with loads of colleagues from around the #spaceindustry and meeting some new ones too!

What an unforgettable week at the Farnborough International Space Show! The Space South Central team is proud to have been part of this landmark event, showcasing the UK’s thriving #space sector and fostering new collaborations. Our stand, supported by Solent Freeport, University of Southampton Science Park and Surrey Research Park, highlighted the cutting-edge work of companies from across our region, demonstrating why the South-Central UK remains a hub for space innovation, and had the pleasure of meeting Lord David Willetts and Mark Garnier OBE. We were thrilled to feature companies like: 💫 Vicinity Technologies Limited, showcasing their pioneering 5G Non-Terrestrial Network solutions that enhance global satellite connectivity. 💫 Multiple Access Communications Ltd, a leader in software-defined radio and advanced signal processing for satellite communications. 💫 Jaltek, with over 25 years of expertise in electronics design and manufacturing, contributing to groundbreaking space-based solar power initiatives. 💫 Stars Edge, revolutionizing propulsion with their sustainable air-breathing engine technology for Very Low Earth Orbit satellites. 💫 Satraka Ltd, driving advancements in satellite technology for enhanced communications and Earth observation. 💫 Innovative Physics, applying cutting-edge sensor technologies to solve complex challenges in space and beyond. 🌍 We were equally honored to contribute to ISRSE-40, which ran alongside the Space Show. This marked the first time the The 40th International Symposium on Remote Sensing of Environment (ISRSE-40) was hosted in the UK, thanks to our collaboration with Farnborough International, ICRSE and ICORSE. The symposium's focus on harnessing #earthobservation for sustainable development resonated deeply with our mission to drive impactful innovation. With UK Space Agency taking the mantle of CEOS (Committee on Earth Observation Satellites) chair this year, it was a pleasure to hear the insights from Harshbir Sangha MBE FRSA, Director of Missions and Capabilities, and Chief Scientist, Adam Amara. We also saw excellent discussions on future and emerging #eo missions with contributions from Taiwan Space Agency－TASA, JAXA: Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd (SSTL) and National Physical Laboratory (NPL), moderated by our International Partnerships Manager, Tobias Marchant! As we close this chapter, we reflect on the powerful connections made and the inspiring vision shared throughout this week (you can certainly see we were busy on the stand!).
