A big thank you to everyone who joined us for yesterday’s Digital Skills Showcase and Business Expo. From workshops to insightful talks led by industry experts, it was a day packed with learning and networking. Main highlights included: ·      A keynote speech from The Bank of England on the local economy ·      Presentations on digital skills for businesses ·      An expert panel discussion on AI and a showcase of local companies ·      Workshops on ‘Making Tax Digital’, ‘IT Money Saving Tips’, ‘AI and ‘Digital People’ Thanks to Braintree District Council for its support in the allocation of funds and The Consortium (East) Ltd for organising the stands, speakers and workshops. Today is #WorldMentalHealthDay. Did you know you can access free in person and online training sessions from Mid and North East Essex Mind which provide a foundation for wellbeing in the workplace? The sessions take you through the Mental Health Continuum – the spectrum of mental health we are all on – and introduces you to the Emotional Needs and Resources approach. The training will help you and your team: • Undo misconceptions about mental health • Raise awareness of your emotional needs • Support yourself and those around you • Reduce the cost of sickness absence • Create a healthier place to work There will be a free in-person training session at our workplace on Thursday, 5 November from 9.30am to 1.30pm.
