Yesterday morning, we hosted our first Breakfast CPD event of the year with WSP and Fieldfisher, where we discussed the latest updates in transport planning, and the legal and practical implications of BNG. It was a fantastic turnout and great to meet so many new and familiar faces to start our 2025! Thank you very much to Dan Griffiths and Dinah Patel for their incredibly inciteful presentations. We hope to see you all at our next event to be announced soon! #womeninplanning #empowerment #transportplanning #bng

What a fantastic night last night at Dirty Martini for the Women in Planning West Midlands Christmas networking drinks. Thank you to Cerda Planning Limited and Wright Hassall LLP for their kind sponsorship and support with this event. The West Mids Committee host some fantastic events throughout the year but it always nice sometimes to just have a drink and a natter with contacts new and old. It has been a very busy year for the West Mids Committee this year with some 15 events hosted. If your missing out, sign up to our mailing list and the events will be sent direct to your inbox. We heard from Debbie Farrington last night and myself how fantastic the Women in Planning group is at giving women a platform and providing them with support. BUT we are not just for women, men can come too! We need your support to continue to grow. Here is to 2025 which brings with it a change in Chair. Thank you to Rose Sanger for her fantastic leadership this year. You will be greatly missed from the committee. Rachel Blanchard and Georgina Kean will be stepping up from Joint Vice Chair to Joint Chair next year. WIP Committee: Rose Sanger (Chair), Rachel Blanchard (Co-Vice Chair), Georgina Kean (Co-Vice Chair), Emily Benstead, Phoebe Farrell, Rebecca Mushing, Laura Swindells, Emily Hill, Dinah Patel, Martha Jennings, Ellie Liggins-Hughes and Sarah Jones
