🥇 MOU Signing Ceremony between University of Transport and Communications, Vietnam and Tipco Asphalt Public Company Limited 🌟 🔰 On November 14th, 2024, Tipco Asphalt Public Company Limited (Tipco Asphalt) and University of Transport and Communications (UTC) signed Memorandum of Understanding for Academic Collaboration (MOU), with the aim to develop low-carbon footprint solutions for Vietnam's transport infrastructures with a focus on greenhouse gas emissions reduction, conservation of natural resources, and sustainability. The collaboration also aims to achieve higher excellence in academics, technology, and innovation. 🧑🎓 The signing ceremony was honored to welcome the participation of Professors, Associate Professors, Doctors at UTC, and leaders of Tipco Asphalt, Colas S.A., France (COLAS) and Asphalt Distribution Company Limited (ADCo). 🌟In the opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hung, Vice President in charge of UTC, affirmed the close relationship with Tipco Asphalt over the years and also affirmed that the cooperation between UTC and Tipco Asphalt is crucial, in the context of climate change which is one of the challenges for many countries in the world. 👑 On behalf of Tipco Asphalt, Mr. Chaiwat Srivalwat, Chief Executive Officer, shared that Tipco Asphalt’s journey towards sustainability is rooted in its Mission and Vision to deliver high-quality products while minimizing the impact on the planet. 👨🔬 Field trip of Hanoi University of Industry students at ADCo’ Hai Phong Terminal 🔰On 13th Dec 2024, ADCo welcomed 50 students, Faculty of Chemical Technology, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) to visit Hai Phong Terminal. 🦺 Here, the students had a chance to visit the terminal laboratory (certified unit LAS-XD 173), observe bitumen tanks, production lines of PMB & emulsion, and be explained the production and quality control of high-quality products at ADCo. 👏 The field trip was in a lively and exciting atmosphere with games of interesting questions about the entire trip, then, meaningful gifts were awarded to the students. Dr. Dang Huu Trung, lecturer at the Faculty of Chemical Technology, Hanoi University of Industry shared his thoughts: “ADCo has been very enthusiastic and well organized to welcome our students today. After visiting the plant, I understand that ADCo has a professional production process and strict product quality control, which is operated on the most modern equipment. 🌟 ICSCE 2024 – The 5th International Conference on Sustainability in Civil Engineering 🔰On October 24th, 2024 in Hanoi, the University of Transport and Communications (UTC) organized the 5th International Conference on Sustainability in Civil Engineering. #conference 📣Annual Scientific Conference celebrating 68th Anniversary of The Institute of Transport Science and Technology 🔰On October 4th, 2024 in Hanoi, the Institute of Transport Science and Technology (ITST) held an annual scientific conference to celebrate its 68th anniversary, in line with the general trend of developing sustainable technologies, materials to achieve net zero emissions by 2050. ✨The ceremony attracted state management agencies, scientists, experts, and business representatives. 🚀 At this conference, Asphalt Distribution Company Limited was a sponsor, impressing guests with the drilled asphalt concrete sample at runway No. 3 - Bangkok International Airport, Thailand, constructed by its parent group TIPCO and Colas. The asphalt concrete sample is 43 cm long, including all structural layers. Specifically, hard bitumen is used for a 33-cm thick base course and a 5-cm thick binder course. The 5cm wearing course is designed as a gap-grade mix using Colflex® PMB PG76. At this event, we learned about the connection between TIPCO’s core values and design thinking process. 💡 This innovation process starts from empathizing and defining customers’ needs to ideating the solutions, then, choosing the optimal solutions within the budget and constantly comparing, evaluating the products with the requirements during the manufacturing process. Finally, it ends with implementing to have a complete product. 🌟The training session was organized creatively, where all the lessons were practiced through a balloon bridge design challenge. Three balloon bridges were built, the team spirit among us was enhanced and the learning moments became more exciting. 👷♂️500 DAYS AND NIGHTS OF COMPETITION TO COMPLETE 3000KM 🔥 EXPRESSWAY 🔰 On August 18, 2024, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh launched the emulation campaign "500 days and nights of competition to complete 3,000km expressway" in 2025, following the resolution of the 13th National Party Congress. 📣 Accordingly, the Prime Minister's message will spread to 13 provinces and cities - where expressway projects are ongoing and material sources for construction sites are being processed daily. 🙌 Up to now, the total length of expressway across the country has reached 2,021km.
