Last month I had the honor and privilege to speak at Gotham Week’s first ever Branded Storytelling Expo. In our conversation we talked about aligning your identity with the brands you work with. A fascinating topic because sometimes you get to choose the brand, and sometimes the brand chooses you. Regardless of how that relationship manifests I find it critical to find optimism in every opportunity. How can we work together to make something meaningful? How can we put our minds together to create cultural impact? How can we leverage a brands resources to create real societal change? These are the things that have been deeply on my mind the last 48 hours and I pray that God continues to send me on assignments in places that I don’t expect to have impact in ways that I could never imagine. Black excellence, multiplied. We had an incredible evening at the Black Executive CMO Alliance (BECA) Manifest Awards Gala, where we honored trailblazers like Bozoma Saint John, Bruce S.
