Introducing the New York Postsecondary State CTE Leaders Fellowship at Advance CTE - Sponsored by ECMC Foundation! Building off the success of the Advance CTE National Fellowship, the New York Fellowship will establish a talent pipeline of postsecondary CTE leaders fiercely committed to creating an accessible and racially just postsecondary CTE system. Through the 14-month NY Fellowship, the Fellows of the inaugural cohort will - participate in interactive, eight workshops focused on effective policies and practices for improving postsecondary CTE outcomes for all learners; - build a local and national network of CTE leaders;  - receive one-on-one mentoring;  - receive a $1000 participant stipend; and - complete a real-world fellowship project in their community. Upon completion of the Fellowship, Fellows will be better positioned for postsecondary CTE leadership roles within their institution, as well as on a state and federal level. This is a unique opportunity to be some of the first in NYS to participate and be part of improving the postsecondary ecosystem in NYS. The NY Fellowship is open to New York State residents who are currently working or who have experience in a New York State (NYS) postsecondary CTE program in a role such as administrator, educator, or professional staff, or as an individual from labor and workforce with direct connections to NYS postsecondary institutions. Today, Advance CTE announces the 2024-25 cohort of the Postsecondary State CTE Leaders Fellowship at Advance CTE — Sponsored by ECMC Foundation (Fellowship). The Fellowship strives to address the growing shortage of state postsecondary Career Technical Education (CTE) leadership by closing representation gaps and removing barriers to leadership advancement. Through individualized supports, intentional networks, and a real-world Fellowship project, Advance CTE – ECMCF Fellows are gaining the skills and connections to pursue leadership positions and advance high-quality, equitable postsecondary CTE systems in their state. “Advance CTE is thrilled to have the opportunity to launch our third cohort of the Fellowship, through the generous support of the ECMC Foundation. Our dedication is not only to help develop a robust, diverse CTE leadership talent pipeline but also to equip these leaders with the skills and knowledge to create CTE policies that dismantle and rebuild inequitable systems so that all learners can access and succeed in high-quality CTE programs,” said Kate Kreamer, executive director of Advance CTE. “Over the last four years, we have had the opportunity to engage with nearly 30 of the brightest and strongest equity-minded leaders in postsecondary CTE and workforce development through the first two cohorts of the Fellowship.
