🚨 Syphilis rates are on the rise in Arizona, and it’s impacting our most vulnerable—babies. Congenital syphilis, when syphilis is passed in the womb during pregnancy, can be life-threatening. But there’s hope: CDC data shows that nearly 9 in 10 cases could have been prevented with timely testing and treatment during pregnancy. That's why Affirm Sexual and Reproductive Health is working with its #TitleX network as well as convening partners in a coordinated effort to prevent, identify, and treat both types of syphilis statewide.
