Col. Bai Lan Zhu assumed leadership of the Advanced Battle Management System (#ABMS) during a ceremony July 3, 2024 on Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Zhu assumed leadership from Lt. Col. Todd Myers, who was the system’s first Materiel Leader. ABMS is the Air Force’s component of a collective effort by the #USAF, Army, and Navy to develop a system that provides airpower anytime, anywhere to battlefield commanders. This effort is known as Joint All-Domain Command and Control, or #JADC2. The goal is to provide situational awareness of airpower assets and allow communication and coordinated action with allies across all domains in a contested environment. Brig. Gen. Luke Cropsey presided over the ceremony (left in photo 1). He is the Department of the Air Force’s Integrating Program Executive Officer (PEO) for Command Control Communications and Battle Management (C3BM). He is responsible for the execution of ABMS. Jeremy and Alexia Archuleta relied on their training as #USAF Airmen to save an Ohio family from a house fire. The couple was in the right place at the right time when they noticed flames shooting from the top of a garage. They quickly sprung into action to save the large family and dog. The Archuleta’s got everyone out safely well before fire trucks arrived. The whole story: https://lnkd.in/e8jJzw7g

On 26 June, members of the #Acquisition Center of Excellence (ACE) team from #AFLCMC at WPAFB gathered to give back to the community. The 10-member civilian “ACE Cares All-Stars” team volunteered their time at The Foodbank* for their quarterly community giveback. 🙏 🍎The Foodbank provides hunger relief to those in need in Montgomery, Greene and Preble, Ohio counties. The volunteers packed around 80 themed boxes and got them ready for distribution. The All-Stars spent a little time getting some greenhouse education and learned how The Foodbank, Inc., raises fresh fruit and vegetables. 🥕 The mission of the Acquisition Center of Excellence is to provide expert advice and hands-on assistance to the acquisition workforce and leadership to instill credibility, excellence and innovation in the #USAF acquisition and sustainment process. ACE is part of our Acquisition Excellence & Program Execution directorate. *No federal endorsement implied. #GivingBack #Community #Ohio
