AgBiome reposted this
We at the IITA-BIOSCIENCE CENTER yesterday (November 7, 2023) had the privilege of hosting Dr. Mathias Twizeyimana, a Plant Pathologist and the project lead at AgBiome, Inc. USA, accompanied by Urmila Adhikari, PhD, who is also a Plant Pathologist at AgBiome, Inc. USA. The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) has been partnering with AgBiome Science since 2018 to evaluate the effectiveness of biological control agents (BCAs) for managing Sigatoka disease in plantains and bananas. Their visit aimed to discuss the progress of the trials and, more importantly, to further the discussion on technology transfer. During their visit, we organized a laboratory tour led by our esteemed manager, Yemi Fajire. This tour aimed to familiarize them with the tools and equipment in our lab. Dr. Mathias Twizeyimana commended the outstanding work carried out at the IITA-BIOSCIENCE CENTER We greatly appreciate the visit of Dr. Mathias Twizeyimana and Urmila Adhikari, PhD Urmila to our facility and look forward to continued success in our joint efforts to combat Sigatoka disease and address other agricultural challenges.
