Do you find hospitals a bit dreary in terms of light? The Eatery in Altru’s new hospital will provide you with a new, bright experience! ☀️ Altru’s new hospital will be markedly different than its current one in the amount of natural light flowing through the building, allowing you - our patients, guests, and team members - to slow your breath and quiet your minds while appreciating the green of the trees, the brightness of natural light, and the calm that comes with nature. Coming early 2025, you will be able to enjoy a terrific meal in this large, beautiful space with a view of the terraced patio outside its windows. As a rural health system, our patients deserve the best care close to home. We are excited to partner with Paradigm to get our patients the care they deserve. 💚 "Patients in rural communities face geographic and socioeconomic burdens that inhibit access to novel treatments. It is imperative that we expand patient access to research through community health systems," said Altru Research Program Manager Ashlee Dagoberg, PT, DPT.”
Ensuring clinical trial access is more equitable and available for all patients has been our mission since we founded Paradigm. For the rural and community patients, clinical trial access is an imperative . In the rural communities stretching across North Dakota and Minnesota, accessing oncology #clinicaltrials can be challenging. Paradigm partnered with Altru Health System to increase clinical trial participation across their 225k patients in rural North Dakota and Minnesota. We’re thrilled to be able to share that this collaboration increased patient participation in clinical trials from 4% to 11% of the total cancer population, well above the national average for oncology programs, across Altru’s massive rural service area in North Dakota and Minnesota. This means that more patients received access to interventional clinical trials as part of their routine care. This was accomplished by increasing pre-screening and simplifying the enrollment process, while simultaneously reducing Altru staff burden through effective use of the Paradigm platform and clinical services. A step-change in clinical trial participation acts as both an equalizer between rural and urban care, and an accelerating force for the broader research and development ecosystem, ultimately increasing the potential for more patients to benefit from new trials today and accelerating bringing new treatments to market. We’re grateful for Altru’s partnership in this effort and proud to serve their patient community. If you’d like to learn more about working with Paradigm please reach out! https://lnkd.in/gnr8s2yP
