Six states still have an F grade on our Living Donor Protection Report Card, which means they offer no protections for people who want to donate a #kidney and give the gift of life. AKF is committed to raising these grades. See where your state stands: https://lnkd.in/etzhQPK8. #livingdonors

Congratulations to C. Alan Bennett, also known as “Chef Benne,” for being named AKF’s 2024 Hero of Hope! A devoted kidney disease advocate and a kidney transplant recipient, Bennett is the founder of the C. Alan Foundation, the Kidney Kafe' and the Kidney Kafe' Garden. "Sadly, my story of crashing into kidney failure is not unique," Bennett said. "Until this is no longer the case, I will keep working to educate my local community about kidney disease, nutrition and lifestyle changes to improve our health.
