Andersen’s 7th Safety Revival: Our Best Yet!    We just wrapped up our 7th Safety Revival in our Washington Region, and in so many ways, it was our best one yet! Meeting at our new SDS facility in Kent, we enjoyed great food and celebrated our unwavering safety culture. A huge shoutout to Jason Gardner from Echelon Front for sharing inspiring stories and emphasizing the power of Leadership at Every Level. We are incredibly grateful for the support from all the amazing people who make Andersen the true #EmployerofChoice. Together, we’re building a safer, stronger future!

The annual Portland Andersen Foundation golf tournament was a wonderful success thanks to our incredible community of generous trade partners, clients, and Andersen employee volunteers and players!     Together we raised funds for local nonprofit Girls Build! Their mission is to inspire curiosity and confidence in girls (ages 8-15) through the world of building. Girls Build teaches over 500 girls per year the basics of carpentry, electrical, sheet metal, plumbing, roofing, and more. Learn more: girlsbuild.org   Stay tuned for the next golf tournament in our series: the Eugene Andersen Foundation tournament on August 23rd!

The Jen-Hsun Huang and Lori Mills Huang Collaborative Innovation Complex at Oregon State University broke ground recently, with university leaders, supporters, friends, and project team members in attendance. This project is another ambitious pursuit by OSU to support innovation, entrepreneurship, and partnerships with industry, while helping to prepare graduates for Oregon’s workforce and beyond. The complex will harness one of the nation’s most powerful supercomputers.   The Huang Collaborative Innovation Complex will be the first mass timber laboratory building in the U.S. The Mass Timber primary structure beams and columns are manufactured locally by Freres Engineered Wood using raw materials sourced from nearby OSU research forests. The exterior includes electrochromic glass construction as part of the university’s goal to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2025. The facility will also employ a variety of heating, cooling, ventilation, and energy initiatives that will reduce the overall energy consumption of the building—lending itself to an optimized learning environment.   Andersen Construction is ecstatic to be part of this project and contribute to the growing educational excellence pursued by OSU. #weseekcontinuousimprovement
