Virtual eating disorder care and community — that actually fits into real life. 🤲

About us

It’s estimated that nearly 1 in 10 people will experience an eating disorder in their lifetime, affecting people of every age, race, size, gender, sexual orientation, ability, and background...yet up to 90% will not get the care they deserve. Arise exists to change that, connecting people to inclusive, personalized support for disordered eating, eating disorders, and long-term healing. With our trauma-informed, holistic, and culturally sensitive approach to care, we aim to shatter the stereotype of what eating disorders “look like” and break down barriers and stigma to bring people care that works for them. Through virtual care pathways and ongoing support, we're bringing people the right care, right where they are. Founded by and for people who've had their own healing journeys from eating disorders, Arise is empowering effective support for people to heal their body and mind.

We are thrilled to announce that Arise is now officially welcoming members in New York! 🏙 🌟 This launch is especially meaningful for our founders, as New York is where they embarked on their own healing journeys and faced the challenge of finding affordable and accessible treatment options while balancing work, life, family, and other priorities. We are excited to bring Arise’s flexible and inclusive care to New Yorkers. To celebrate our launch, we hosted a panel and networking event to connect with the broader NY community. Thank you to our panelists Kimberly Singh, MS, RD, CDN, Akiera Gilbert, Lauren Larkin, Carolina Salazar-Paranhos, Kéra Nyemb-Diop, Ph.D, Giva Wilkerson, and Laura Iu, who spoke passionately and honestly about topics such as eating disorder recovery, nutrition, and the event’s theme, “Summer Mind > Summer Body.” We were overjoyed by how many therapists, students, dietitians, and advocates showed up and engaged in authentic and vulnerable conversations. Thank you to Project HEAL for joining us for the event, Alumni Ventures for providing a space for this amazing event, and JPMorganChase for sponsoring.
