Arnot is in the market for a Clinical Coordinator for the operating room at Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira. The Coordinator performs the primary functions of a professional nurse leader in assessing, planning, directing and evaluating patient care in the operating suites. He/she collaborates with the Unit Manager to manage personnel and supplies for the units and for promoting teamwork with physicians and personnel of other nursing units and nursing support services. The role includes coordinating and managing all nursing care activities based on the philosophy of the Arnot Health to partner with each person we serve in order to maximize their physical, emotional, social and spiritual health. When a team of people are united in their goal, you can feel the energy from them. And when one of them is celebrated, the love from the others is genuine. That was the environment on the Obstetrics Unit when nurse Christine Keegan was named as our newest Daisy Award Winner. A patient wrote that Chris did everything to support the couple as they welcomed their first child. From the big things like helpful education on the care of an infant, to the little things like wrapping a diaper around her water glass so it didn't get the table wet, Chris seemed to be everywhere at once. Always with a smile, always reassuring, Chris consistently makes every patient feel like the only patient. Her skills have been perfected over a career entering its 40th year. Thanks so much, Chris, for being there for countless new families!
