Did you know that the Connector Project operated by Austin Street Center provides FREE rides for over 3,000 individuals annually experiencing homelessness? Passengers are taken to locations such as Parkland Health, the Social Security office, Food Stamp office, The Salvation Army, and more. This June, the Connector had the highest number of passengers for the 2023-2024 year due to the summer heat and we thank these local partners for funding this important initiative that helps the homeless get back on their feet: - City of Dallas - DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) - First Presbyterian Church of Dallas - North Texas Behavioral Health Authority - OurCalling - Salvation Army - The Stewpot #thankful #homeless #dallas #texas #dfw #northtexas #nonprofit #community
