About us

The Bay Area Host Committee (BAHC) was founded in 2022 with a single mission: to unite the Bay Area through sport by building pride, connecting communities, and re-energizing the entire region. With support from the area’s preeminent leaders and professional sports teams – including Bay FC, the Golden State Warriors, the San Francisco 49ers, the San Francisco Giants, the San Jose Earthquakes, the San Jose Sharks, and a new WNBA team – the BAHC is bringing the best to the Bay while celebrating the diversity, innovation, and fandom that make the region unique. The BAHC is proud to contribute to the Bay Area’s legacy by hosting legendary athletes, world-class sporting events and global fan bases in the region’s most iconic venues — and is ready to show the world what the Bay is made of. The BAHC is currently slated to Host the 2025 NBA All-Star, Super Bowl LX, and FIFA World Cup 26.

Our Economic Impact Report, created in partnership with Boston Consulting Group (BCG), projects an estimated $1.4 billion economic boost across the nine Bay Area counties from NBA All-Star 2025, Super Bowl LX and FIFA World Cup 26™. “As we look towards the next two years, we have a unique opportunity to make a long-lasting positive impact on the region,” said Zaileen Janmohamed, president and CEO of the Bay Area Host Committee. “These sporting events and partnerships with the NBA, NFL and FIFA are converging to create an immense economic boost that will have a tangible impact on our Bay Area communities for years to come.” These signature global sporting events are also estimated to create or sustain nearly 13,000 jobs and drive an estimated 400,000 bookings in local accommodations. “The Bay Area is home to state-of-the-art sports facilities, world-class restaurants and hotels, and some of the largest companies anywhere in the world – but what really makes the region special is the people. The Bay Area’s diverse communities thrive on accepting people and ideas from around the world and have been growing sports hubs for generations,” said California Governor Gavin Newsom. “We look forward to hosting these events which will create jobs all across the region and build on our record-breaking tourism milestones from last year.” Read more: https://bit.ly/3x6AyTh #BayAreaUnite #NBAAllStar #SBLX #FIFAWorldCup

Something special is cooking in the Bay Area... 🏆I am beyond excited to share that I’ve joined the all-star team at the Bay Area Host Committee as the VP of Marketing & Partnerships! Having the chance to drive forward the BAHC’s mission to unite the Bay Area through sport and create lasting impact in our region is a career-defining, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I am not taking for granted! 🏆Within an 18-month period, our region here in the Bay will host THREE of the world’s LARGEST and most HIGHLY FOLLOWED EVENTS - the NBA All-Star Game in February 2025, Super Bowl LX in February 2026, and the FIFA World Cup in June-July 2026 - the latter two in the same calendar year, a historical first! 🏆What am I most excited about? Glad you asked! 😉 🏀DRIVING IMPACT and being inspired every day by the programs we are putting in the market to lift up this region. We’re on a mission to not only host world-class events but to create meaningful impact in our communities. 🏈COLLABORATING & PROVIDING VALUE to our Corporate Partners: it’s a dream to use my unique background to engage with brands and help architect Partnerships for Impact that go far beyond traditional sponsorship deals. It’s because of our corporate partners that we will be able to deliver on our ambitions while also boosting their businesses. ⚽AN ALL-FEMALE C-SUITE + being part of a team of some of the most talented, kind-hearted, and dynamic individuals I’ve ever had the privilege to work with! I am honored to be a part of this team, and extend a heartfelt thanks to my friends, and now my colleagues, Patty Hubbard and Zaileen Janmohamed, for their tremendous leadership, for "thinking of me" when writing up this role and for bringing me on board with open arms. Your belief in our shared mission inspires me! 🏆If you’re a leader passionate about making a difference and ready to think outside of the (traditional sponsorship) box, let’s chat! #BayAreaHostCommittee #Marketing #Partnerships #SportsForGood #Community #BayArea

Head of Partnership Activation for the San Francisco 49ers

Last week the San Francisco 49ers Corporate Partnerships Team hosted our annual Corporate Partner Summit. It was so great bringing so many partners together into one room as we recapped highlights from last season and shared insights into the 2024-2025 season ahead. Thank you to this year's Summit speakers for making the day so impactful: Patty Hubbard and Zaileen Janmohamed from the Bay Area Host Committee, Scott LaBounty from the National Football League (NFL), Alex Kerr from Trajektory, Kenneth Mitchell from Levi Strauss & Co. moderated by Brent Schoeb and last but not least, Al Guido and John Lynch for their Q&A moderated by Lindsey Pallares. Special thanks to Levi Strauss & Co. for customizing Westerns for all partners in attendance, and to Laura "LJ" Johnson for allowing our partners to experience what it's like to be a part of Media Day! Summit Committee (Graham, Alexis & Abigail) and the entire CP Team - way to crush it!
