  • Tim Peer, P.E. hands-on experience in operations, strategy, and construction gives him a unique perspective that benefits the industry and the communities these systems serve. I'm excited to see how his leadership at BOND Building continues to drive innovation in energy infrastructure!

IDEA Board member, Tim Peer, P.E., took what he calls “the road less traveled” into #DistrictEnergy, but his impact on the industry has been significant.    Cornell University’s #Innovative Deep Lake Water Cooling (DLWC) project was one of Tim’s first projects and that was just the start. He has come full circle in our field.   In our latest blog, we dive into Tim’s journey, from the Marine Corps to union plant operator, leading to a 22 year-long career at Cornell, followed by consulting at CHA and now leading the district energy team at BOND Building Construction in strategy, planning and constructing world-class energy systems. Tim has seen district energy from all sides.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          District energy has been a place where Tim formed lifelong friendships and learned that every project counts toward making an impact.   #Sustainability #Decarbonization #EnergyResilency

  • Congratulations to Haley Dyer for receiving the BWIC Inspire Award for being an Emerging Leader!   Just like a great runner, a great leader isn’t made overnight. It takes dedication, resilience, and the ability to push forward even when the path gets tough. Haley exemplifies all of this and more. Her commitment to BOND and the industry is inspiring, and we couldn’t be prouder to see her recognized for her impact.   Here’s to many more milestones ahead!   #Leadership #InspireAward #WomenInConstruction #EnduranceAndExcellence

  • Hear about stewardship from Christina Toomey!

Director of Marketing @ BOND | Effectively balancing business goals with customer needs through an insight-driven, human-centered approach

The final ‘𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥’ we’re highlighting this week is Steward𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥—our commitment to giving back in meaningful ways. Christina Toomey embodies this mindset, turning gratitude into action and proving that even small acts of stewardship can create a lasting impact. Christina lives by the mentality “leave things better than you found them,” a philosophy that guides both her career and her commitment to others. As a woman in construction, she’s grateful for those who paved the way before her—and she’s paying it forward by helping shape a better experience for those who follow. A powerful example? Leading BOND’s Build-a-Bed Project, where she rallied her team to fundraise and put their skills to work, physically building beds for children in need. Her efforts raised thousands of dollars and provided hundreds of beds for the Boston Homeless Coalition. The impact? A lift in morale, hope, and compassion. A lift in funding for a local organization supporting vulnerable children. And most importantly, a lift onto a comfortable bed for kids transitioning into stable housing or foster care. How has #stewardship — whether through guidance, service, or influence — shaped your career or the way you support others?

  • Hear about leadership from Rebecca Klebanoff!

Director of Marketing @ BOND | Effectively balancing business goals with customer needs through an insight-driven, human-centered approach

Today, we highlight leader𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥. The construction industry has long been male-dominated, but inspiring women are reshaping the landscape through strong leadership. One of these trailblazers is BOND’s Vice President and General Counsel, Rebecca Klebanoff—whose career began in the field and continues to break barriers today. To empower the next generation of women in construction, Rebecca shares her three essential leadership traits: authenticity, decisiveness, and resilience. 💎 Authenticity is the foundation of trust, credibility, and transparency. Whether navigating tough negotiations or risk management, Rebecca stays firm in her beliefs and clearly communicates her ‘why’—building long-term relationships, loyalty, and respect. 🎯 Decisiveness is critical in leadership. The ability to assess a situation, analyze facts, and make firm decisions—even in uncertainty—prevents costly hesitation. 🏔️ Resilience is the secret sauce of leadership. For women in construction, persistence despite barriers fosters trust, strengthens teams, and distinguishes great leaders. Strong #leadership lifts us all. Who are the women in construction that inspire you?

Director of Marketing @ BOND | Effectively balancing business goals with customer needs through an insight-driven, human-centered approach

Ally𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥 is essential to helping women thrive in the construction industry. It’s the next ‘𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥’ we’re celebrating this week—featuring an inspiring member of our BOND team, @𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗰𝗖𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵𝘆. As Director of Safety, Chris set out to build a diverse, high-performing team—approaching hiring with an open mind and focus on talent, growth, and impact. To eliminate unintentional bias as much as possible, he had names removed from resumes, letting experience and aptitude speak for themselves. Soon, a clear pattern emerged: many of his top candidates were women. With a firm focus on skill and potential, Chris brought women into critical roles in an industry where they have historically been underrepresented. Today, these women serve as inspiring leaders—bringing confidence, humility, and a holistic approach to ensuring safety to the workforce. They educate, train, and uplift teams, fostering a culture of excellence. In Chris’s words: “The women in BOND’s safety department have made their worth, contributions, and effectiveness undeniable. I’m blessed to have been given the opportunity to lead them and look forward to watching them lead others now and in the future.” Cheers to that, Chris! Tell us, how has #allyship shaped your career?

  • Learn about mentorship from Destiny Fausta!

Director of Marketing @ BOND | Effectively balancing business goals with customer needs through an insight-driven, human-centered approach

At BOND, we believe that when one of us rises, we all rise—because a rising tide lifts all ships. Throughout Women in Construction Week, we’re celebrating some of the powerful ‘𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥𝙨’ that help us rise together in this industry. First up: Mentor𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥, featuring Destiny Fausta, an inspiring member of our BOND team whose story shows how guidance and support create waves of opportunity for women in construction. 🛳️🛳️🛳️🛳️🛳️🛳️🛳️🛳️🛳️🛳️🛳️🛳️🛳️🛳️🛳️🛳️ Mentorship can come from anywhere—and Destiny’s journey proves it. She first learned from her steadfast mentor, her father, a Haitian immigrant who instilled in her integrity, perseverance, and curiosity. She carried these values throughout her early years, always striving to be the best version of herself. Facing limited options after high school due to the prohibitive costs of higher education, Destiny enrolled in community college, where she discovered newfound mentorship among her peers. By listening, observing, and exchanging experiences with her contemporaries, she uncovered pivotal opportunities—like the Mass Transfer Program—which helped her transition from community college to university, setting her on the path to a career in construction management. With each internship and real-world experience, Destiny continued to learn, adapt, and grow—refining her skills, embracing new traits, and expanding her ‘toolbox.’ Now, Destiny is paving the way for other women in the industry, proving that persistence and curiosity can chart the course to success. Tell us, how has #mentorship shaped your career?
