ICYMI: On October 7, XB-1 took to the skies for its fifth flight from the Mojave Air & Space Port, climbing to 17,800 feet in the R-2515 Airspace. This was XB-1’s fastest flight so far – hitting nearly Mach 0.7 – as we continue to speed up toward Mach 1 by year-end. Read more on flight five and the full program here: https://lnkd.in/eSwrM3_u

MACH 0.69 ✅ Flight five is complete and XB-1 continues to close in on Mach 1. XB-1 reached a maximum altitude of 17,800 feet and speeds of Mach .69 (or 324 knots indicated airspeed), with a total flight time of 50 minutes.
