    Planning application submitted for a new Public Realm Area in Boston. The regeneration of a public realm area in Boston is a step closer with the submission of a planning application. This marks the first phase of the Rosegarth Square regeneration project, which was awarded £14.8 million in government funding. Councillor Anne Dorrian, Leader of Boston Borough Council, said: “The submission of the planning application is a major milestone in transforming this run-down part of town into an exciting new space for everyone. “The aim of this first phase of the project is to enhance connectivity within the town centre. We aim to create a new high quality public realm which will improve the experience for residents, businesses and visitors to this part of Boston, and encourage further inward investment opportunities.” Read full article ➡ https://bit.ly/3ZoYyfR

    As part of the improvement works at Boston Railway Station, the footbridge at the station is closed today for 4 weeks whilst the treads on steps are replaced. A step-free route is signposted to access all platforms. Additional staff will be available to assist, Monday to Friday 07:00-19:00, Saturdays 10:00-20:00 and Sundays 10:00-18:00. East Midlands Railway apologises for any inconvenience caused. The work to the footbridge is part of the improvements that are taking place at the station, as these latest pictures show. Once complete, the improvements will offer an improved experience for everyone who uses the station in future.     The refurbishment of Boston Railway Station is progressing well. Once complete, the improvements will offer an improved experience for everyone who uses the station in future.     Over the weekend, the fantastic Boston Food Festival took place at Boston Stump. The event welcomed more than 5,000 visitors, with a whole range of food and drink stalls and activities including foodie demonstrations, a Kids Zone, street food vendors, and rock school bus, and more on offer. The event was supported by the Centre for Food and Fresh Produce Logistics, one of the Boston Town Board projects.     On Friday the ‘breaking of the soil’ was marked on the site of the Mayflower, Boston College new inspiring, state of the art learning building.
