When you're operating the equivalent of a small city within a city, it takes a whole brigade of employees to keep things not only operating, but thriving. This annual employee Christmas party hosted by the BTV Employee Appreciation Committee is the one time each year when everyone is encouraged to gather together all at once. There's great food, holiday attire and the occasional shenanigans...but most of all there's fellowship and time to say thank you for jobs well done. Merry Christmas, Butterfield team. Your service and dedication is a gift all year long. ❤ #happyholidays #thankyou #dedication #Butterfield

Butterfield's Resident Christmas Elves have been extremely busy, as well as VERY generous the last few weeks...and today several of them got to play Santa!! BTV residents independently organize and fund an annual "Christmas Purse," which offers a way for those who live at BTV to provide a holiday cash gift to the staff who serve and care for them throughout the year. For 2024, residents raised a truly remarkable amount, over $130,000, which was divvied up and distributed in person to happy employees all over campus. This year's fund drive was spearheaded by Marolyn Fields and Doug Prichard, and everyone's cumulative efforts shattered past records. On behalf of Butterfield staff, THANK YOU to every person who gave so generously to make sure the holidays are extra-special for our hardworking BTV team.

For those who provide hands-on care for others and focus daily on their well-being, it's essential to refresh critical skills. This week, all of Butterfield's healthcare team members are spending time at our annual Skills Fair to ensure the medical staff is confident, knowledgeable and up-to-date on technology and techniques. Thanks to our teaching team for making learning best practices fun and engaging! #continuingeducation #seniorliving #bestpractices

The neighbors on Butterfield's 3rd Floor South never let much time pass without finding a way to celebrate! To kick off December in a flurry of garlands and wreaths festooned with red ribbon and ornaments, this fun crew assigned a list of proper elf duties to get their entire floor decked out for the season in no time...all while feasting on a loaded table of treats. You can be sure these Santa's helpers weren't thinking only of themselves--they also donated canned goods for the St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Fayetteville, Arkansas homeless food pantry. The 3S residents wish everyone Happy Holidays! #retirement #seniorliving #butterfield

Thanks to the support of the Butterfield Trail Village Foundation, we welcomed Bárbara Padilla, award-winning soprano, to our Performance Hall stage...where she blew us away with her world-class talent and charm. Originally from Guadalajara, Mexico, and a cancer survivor of stage four Hodgkin’s disease, Bárbara became a household name after receiving outstanding reviews for her unforgettable performances on “America’s Got Talent,” achieving First Runner Up. Talent Judge Piers Morgan stated that Bárbara’s performance was “The single greatest vocal performance we’ve ever had on America’s Got Talent.” Bárbara continues to perform with prestigious symphonies and the top music industry elite and appears regularly on various TV, radio and podcast programs, as well as stages nationwide. #opera #BarbaraPadilla #liveperformance #seniorliving #butterfield

WOW! We just learned Butterfield Trail Village, Inc. is the #1 Northwest Arkansas fundraiser for this year's Walk to End Alzheimer's in support of the remarkable work of the Alzheimer's Association Arkansas Chapter!! Our 2024 gift totals $15,539 and is the result of loads of hard work and the generosity of many. We couldn't be prouder of this distinction, and are already thinking about how to keep up the momentum for next year. THANK YOU to all who donated and worked tirelessly to make this happen. Special thanks to Smitty's Bar & Grille for their phenomenal support for our first "Sock it to Alzheimer's" party, along with the many donors who made our silent auction successful. Let's keep working to find the cure!!

It's always a pleasure to see one of our remarkable residents in the news...this time Grace Donoho! Thanks to reporter Kim Dishongh for another wonderful Arkansas Democrat-Gazette @arkansasonline story recognizing a senior who has done great things. This version ran in last Sunday's central Arkansas edition (9/15/24) and we anticipate we'll see it at a later date in the NWA @nwademgaz edition. Enjoy!
