CWP is proud to participate in the National Skills Coalition State Policy and Advocacy Network (SkillSPAN), representing the Campaign for Working Connecticut with United Way of Connecticut and many other partners. We're committed to promoting equitable workforce development practices in Connecticut and sharing learnings with this network of leaders from across the country. Thanks to NSC for convening this impactful event! Can you find Ben Hensley in the group shot?
It was great to celebrate 5 years of National Skills Coalition's Skills State Policy and Advocacy Network (SkillSPAN) this week in Denver! These leaders have spent the past 5 years convening, connecting, and translating state policy for training providers, policy researchers, workforce advocates, community colleges, community-based organizations, businesses, unions, workers, students, and state agencies, all so that they can expand access to education and training for quality jobs on the state level so that people can thrive, not just survive. I'm immensely honored to be part of a team supporting this network of leaders and glad that we had a chance to celebrate their accomplishments. They also continued to move the work forward this week, problem-solving with one another, and connecting dots going into 2025!
