Qualifications and Education Requirements - 5-8 years of professional experience in environmental consulting, government, or regulatory affairs in industry - Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Planning, Environmental Economics, Biology, Ecology, Geology or other physical science fields - Advanced working knowledge of federal and California state environmental regulations - Experienced project manager on medium-to-large contracts ($100k or greater) - Significant experience in the management and preparation of documents in compliance with California Environmental Quality Act and National Environmental Policy Act (Note: applicants will be asked to share a link to a draft or final document in which they are included in the List of Preparers) - Significant experience in environmental permitting in California (Clean Water Act Sections 401 and 404 permitting, Streambed Alteration Agreements) - Proven client relationship and business development skills - Expert knowledge of MS Office Programs – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint, and Teams Entry-Level Staff Environmental Scientist - Based in Oakland, CA Qualifications and Education Requirements - Enthusiastic and Driven - 1-3 years of professional experience - Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Hydrogeology, and/or Civil or Environmental Engineering - Strong communication skills, both verbally and written - Working knowledge of MS Office Programs – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. - Work may require lifting equipment and materials up to 50-pounds and traversing uneven ground. - This is primarily a field-based position. Job sites are located across the Bay Area and individual must be able to independently travel to sites as needed.

We’d love to spotlight our talented biologist, Hannah Donaghe and her most recent tidewater goby survey out at UC Santa Barbara's North Campus Open Space Restoration Project with the Cheadle Center for Biodiversity and Ecological Restoration (CCBER). This year’s survey found a record 94 tidewater gobies, showcasing an increase in the population following restoration. Last month, the 2024 Oxnard Leadership Program (OLP) covered everything from the land, sea, and air for their sixth session of the year, Energy & Environment Day, meeting with representatives from @aera_energy, @officialwspa, @sce, @epagov, and @nws.
