📣📣We need volunteer lawyers in Columbus and Cleveland to assist Afghan asylum seekers!📣📣 Many Afghan asylum seekers in Ohio face persecution in Afghanistan due to their anti-Taliban political views and support of US forces in Afghanistan. Most worked directly for US forces as translators and guides or had close family members who did so. Volunteers will represent clients applying for asylum, which will allow them to remain in safety in the US. You do not need to be an immigration attorney! I will provide training, mentoring and hands on support through the entire process. Please reach out for more info!

What a beautiful day to spend with friends and family! Employees and their families were able to enjoy the sunshine while kayaking, zip-lining, swimming, and more this past Saturday at the annual Friends and Family Day at Camp Christopher in Summit County. This event allowed our staff from all 8 counties to get to know each other and build relationships. Thank you to everyone who was able to come out to this year's event! SNAP recipients are eligible for replacement benefits for spoiled food! The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services says Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) recipients could be eligible for replacement benefits if they lost food purchases due to the power outages. Households should: - Complete a JFS Form 07222 (https://lnkd.in/gqiK9Z8C) within 10 days of the loss. - Verify the extended power outage, such as news reports, text/email alerts, or outage alerts that show their area lost power for at least four hours. - Send this information to your county's Department of Job and Family Services which can be found at https://lnkd.in/gajb9peB
