I am proud to share that Ed Joyce, our Board Chair, was nominated for the Outstanding Board Leader award at the 23rd Annual NOVO Awards by the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce. This nomination is a recognition of Ed’s visionary leadership and his commitment to advancing the mission of Chapman Partnership. Under Ed’s leadership, we have witnessed significant advancements in our governance structure and operational efficiency. His passion for innovation is further evident in how he championed trauma-informed care, ensuring that Chapman Partnership continues providing the highest quality services to those we serve. Four years ago our Interact Club had about 15 students. Interact is the high school partner of Rotary International. Coming out of covid our Interact club began growing and doing more community service projects in conjunction with Rotary. Over the past three years my students have made over 5,000 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and collected over 8,000 bottles of water which we have given directly to the homeless community in Miami. My students have also collected hundreds of toys that have been donated to the Chapman Partnership and made hundreds of cards that we send to children in hospitals with terminal illnesses. It’s important to teach our students the value of helping others and giving back to their community. Today we held our first meet and had about 270 students show up to begin this years service projects. Life is not about what you can do, but what you can do for others. ❤️
