As the Chicago Bears prepare to face the Jacksonville Jaguars this Sunday in the NFL London Game, the team had the opportunity of hosting multiple community events throughout the week in London. 🇬🇧🏈 One event was the “No Room for Racism” panel, where Bears alumnus Jerry Azumah joined former English soccer player and Tottenham Hotspur Football Club’s ambassador Ledley King to discuss the importance of allyship in the fight against racism with a group of students from Lea Valley Primary School. The event, part of the Premier League’s initiative during the UK’s Black History Month, allowed students to ask candid questions about race, inclusion and how to be allies. Reflecting on the discussion, Azumah said: “One of the students asked, 'how do you end racism?' It’s not simple, but having these discussions is the first step to combating it. We talked about the power of allies, support and staying vocal when something is wrong.” Partnering with the Premier League and Tottenham Hotspurs FC during Black History Month in UK is meaningful, as it aligns with the Bears’ commitment to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion both in London and back home in Chicago. 🐻💙🧡 #NFLLondonGame #BearsDown #NoRoomForRacism

As part of the Latino Heritage Month celebration, Samara Martinez, a proud member of the Chicago Bears Fan Services team, shares a powerful story about her family’s journey from Durango, Mexico to Chicago and how their pursuit of the American Dream shaped her life. "Echale ganas siempre." This message of encouragement has been a guiding principle for Samara's family, starting with her grandparents, Lucrecia and Armando, who arrived in 1974. Despite facing language barriers and adapting to a new culture, their resilience instilled a deep-rooted love for both Chicago and the Chicago Bears. That love for the Chicago Bears was passed down through generations, from her grandparents to her parents and, ultimately, to Samara, who has turned her passion for sports into a career with the team she grew up cheering for. In her heartfelt reflection, Samara shares how her role with the Chicago Bears allows her to embrace her Latina heritage and give back to the community, carrying forward the same determination her grandparents showed 50 years ago. "Being a Latina who works in the NFL brings me immense joy and a profound sense of pride. My job quickly taught me the significance of being a Latina in the sports industry as well," Samara wrote. Read Samara’s full story below and celebrate her journey with us.
