The Preeminent Peer Leadership Network of Chicago Chief Information Officers
About us
ChicagoCIO is one of 30 chapters in the Inspire Leadership Network, a national membership organization comprised exclusively of CIOs from public and private businesses, government, education, healthcare, and nonprofit institutions. ChicagoCIO exists to help CIOs thrive in today’s most challenging C-suite executive role. The chapter regularly convenes leading CIOs and fosters meaningful relationships by hosting non-commercial, member-led programs—helping CIOs gain leadership advantage. We create opportunities for technology leaders to engage in substantive, issues-based discussion related to their industries and profession. Members benefit by collaborating with others, building meaningful relationships, and promoting professional development through executive events that facilitate valuable interaction among senior-level experts. MEMBERSHIP QUALIFICATION Members must be an Chicagoland-based CIO or equivalent senior technology leader for an organization with at least $100 million annual revenue. Organizations over $1 billion qualify for a second membership and organizations over $5 billion may enroll a third member – provided the organization’s primary technology leader is a member in good standing. ABOUT THE ORBIE AWARDS The ORBIE Awards is the premier technology executive recognition program in the United States. Since inception in 1998, over 500 technology leaders have received the prestigious ORBIE Award. The ORBIE honors chief information officers who have demonstrated excellence in technology leadership.

#ChicagoCIO & #ChicagoCISO | Leading Through Crisis with Marie Mouchet Inspire Leadership Network Christa Ogilvy
🌟 The difference between a manager and a leader shows most during a crisis. 🌟 Marie Mouchet demonstrated true leadership as she invested in the Chicagoland technology community last week by sharing lessons from the event leaders dread, but must be ready for. “Leading Through Crisis: A Leadership Conversation with Marie Mouchet” was the perfect intersection for ChicagoCIO and ChicagoCISO to collectively learn, share and find answers in the room. ChicagoCISO Membership Chair Nidhi Luthra, Baxter International Inc., expertly facilitated a dynamic and actionable conversation with Marie, blending insights and real-world experiences that created a fresh, people-focused crisis leadership playbook. Marie Mouchet, a three-time ORBIE Award winner and former GeorgiaCIO Chair, left us all with valuable lessons in calm, steady leadership during turbulent times. 🗝️ Question: In your experience, what are the skills that distinguish a leader from a manager & how have they helped you lead in times of crisis or get through one? P33 Chicago is turbo-charging the tech ecosystem, promoting economic growth and building family sustaining roles through an apprentice Xchange Chicago on the South Side, and who gets a behind the scenes tour? YOU and your IT teams can follow the footsteps of ChicagoCIO members and guests yesterday for Inside P33, to experience an alliance of three key organizations P33, SDI Presence and the Gary Comer Youth Center. This post shares what you can do, in addition to what we did. I hope you seize this opportunity to #grow the #Chicago IT tech community for Q3/4. What will you experience? Our morning was impactful with tours through bustling and vibrant school hallways, a powerful panel conversation breaking down the Xchange Chicago facts and lunch with apprentices who shared their experiences at the XTerminal training center. o The Gary Comer Youth Center: The compelling history and success of the Gary Comer Youth Center, home of the South Shore Drill Team, classrooms, exhibition halls, and onsite gardens. The synergy has led to a charter high school, middle school and now the Xchange. o The Xchange Chicago: SDI is finalizing infrastructure to support 150 onsite apprentices trained in partnership with Catalyte, from South Side zip codes, where they receive a consistent pathway for day1 ready IT roles. o Partnership Experience: We were fortunate to hear directly from WEC Energy Group and Northern Trust, early apprenticeship adopters invested in the ecosystem of Chicago. They are quickly moving from 4 to 20 in 2024. Molly Mulroy, MBA unpacked the long history of trust between SDI and WEC. Liju Augustine’s biggest surprise was the candidate to short list. They are happy to answer your questions! Key contributors to thank for building this opportunity? o P33: Aleena Agrawal , Brad Henderson o SDI: Hardik Bhatt & Christina Belmont o Gary Comer Youth Center: Emily Emmerman | Oluwaseyi Olaleye | Rusty Putzler, MBA o ChicagoCIO: Kevin Boyd, Bridget Quinlan, Thomas South Tony Barton Sabina Ewing o ChicagoCIO Underwriter Executives: Seth Cooper, MSPM, PMP, CSM, Baker Tilly | Jim Hart, Burwood Group | Gary Gruber, Insight | Nick Shafer, Lumen | Al Ramundo, TEKsystems | Eric Sigurdson, Russell Reynolds #BigBets #LittleBets #ITTalent
