The Department of City Development was proud to help celebrate the launch of the Center of Equity Practice and Planning Justice at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. This Center will be a vehicle to promote the deconstruction and mitigation of segregation, an issue of critical importance to the City of Milwaukee, the region, and the state as a whole. Combating the vestiges of past racism and segregation and their lingering existence and impact are important priorities for the Department of City Development, and we work continuously to identify planning and development policies that can be crafted and implemented to advance racial equity.
