It was a full house today at the Raleigh Chamber 2024 Economic Development Annual Meeting! The first panel included executives from INEOS Automotive, FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies, and Audemars Piguet who shared their reasons for selecting Wake County for their businesses such as quality of life, access to education, talent pipeline, and healthcare. We then heard from representatives from the City of Raleigh Municipal Government, Wake County, and the Wake County Public School System who touched on what makes our community the best place to live, work, and play. Thank you for all the insights! #EDAM2024

Thanks for sharing Davis Kane Architects, P.A. and for including us on your team for this great new facility for the City of Jacksonville!

Last week, we had the immense honor of attending the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the newly completed Jacksonville Fire Station No. 4! We're incredibly proud to have partnered with the City of Jacksonville on this essential project designed to enhance public safety and support the brave first responders who serve the community. The NC Department of Transportation's proposed corridor extension of Jacksonville Parkway necessitated the construction of this new facility to ensure seamless fire department response in the area. Working closely with the City, we developed a state-of-the-art, 13,118 SF fire station tailored to meet modern first responder requirements for the next 50 years. This single-story station features three pull-through bays, each capable of accommodating a platform ladder apparatus, six individual dorm rooms, and an open-concept day room, kitchen, and dining space. It also includes a fitness room with outdoor access, a watch desk, administrative offices, and a comprehensive hot zone/cold zone isolation design for occupant safety. Visitors will also find a historical display of Jacksonville Department memorabilia, complete with a fire pole in the main entrance. The new fire station, a testament to our commitment to the community, is not just equipped to handle current demands, but also designed for future expansion. This ensures it can adapt as the community grows, giving us all confidence in its longevity and effectiveness. We are proud to have played a role in this vital project and look forward to continuing our work in designing spaces that serve and protect. City of Jacksonville CLH design, p.a. CLH staff volunteers headed to Wake County Parks, Recreation and Open Space Sandy Pines Preserve last Friday to assist Wake County staff with removing 500 lbs of litter from the roadside! As the lead designer for this preserve, it holds a special place in our hearts. We really enjoyed coming together as a team and participating in this clean-up event. A big thank you to Wake County staff for organizing this event for us!
