This year, we created a powerful short documentary that shines a spotlight on our nearly 70-year legacy of providing critical arts education to the children of Charlotte-Mecklenburg. This past year was one of immense strides for us, but none as great as sharing the joy of music with over 15,000 students across our region. This is only made possible thanks to the generous support of our donors and supporters. We have a generous, anonymous contributor willing to match all contributions received through June 30, 2024, up to $100,000. We ask that you consider supporting us today and be a part of making our music come alive! You can give online at https://lnkd.in/ewBFKx8T https://lnkd.in/e4Ac6xG7

This year for our annual spring event SOUNDS OF JOY we will be celebrating this legacy with an evening of stories, music, and elegance at one of Charlotte's newest and soon to be hottest new venues - The Casey by Beau Monde. We are aiming to raise $100,000 to support our education programs that serve over 12,000 students each year. Tickets start at just $100 and table sponsorships are still available. Grab your tickets today and help us share the joy of music with the next generation. THANK YOU to our current sponsors Atrium Health, Novant Health, and SouthState Bank for making this event possible!

We are honored to partner with the City of Charlotte to bring this exciting new artistic platform to our beautiful community!
Every day working as a public servant is a good one. But as you can see, some are more fun than others. Earlier this week, we celebrated the unveiling of the Charlotte Symphony's mobile stage that will host “drive-up” concerts in communities throughout Charlotte. “The mobile stage will be a bridge in building connections between the arts and our community. Corridors of Opportunity residents will be able to experience and enjoy live music in their own backyards.” - City Manager Marcus Jones As the series moves throughout Charlotte, each neighborhood's concerts will be tailored specifically to the tastes and preferences of residents, resulting in a truly collaborative experience. https://cltgov.me/3U7zHsK

Charlotte Symphony Orchestra reposted this
"...the music seems to surge through Ryan like an electric current discharged from his fingertips." Now on our blog, Lawrence Toppman reviews Kwame Ryan's first concert with the Charlotte Symphony as Music Director Designate. Read Toppman's review: bit.ly/KwaméRyan-CSO

Thanks to NPR for this amazing interview of our new Music Director Kwame Ryan on Here and Now. This past weekend we had the distinct honor of having our Tchaikovsky & Brahms concert nationally broadcast for anyone and everyone across the U.S. to hear the artistic excellence of our great orchestra. https://lnkd.in/eRjcFHDA

We are joining forces with Charlotte-based creative Rosalia Torres-Weiner to make beautiful music (and art!) together. Rosalia, Chief Executive Artist of Red Calaca Studio, was selected from an incredible field of talented, local applicants to design a wrap for the Symphony's brand-new mobile stage, CSO Roadshow. Launching this April, CSO Roadshow will deliver free "walk up" concerts to streets, parks, and plazas for all to enjoy. An additional highlight? The 40-foot trailer will be adorned with original artwork by Rosalia, bringing the mission to life in a vibrant way, thanks to support from the Arts & Science Council!
