A special episode of the Gather Dispatch #podcast explores how an eventful year for #WomensSports has impacted corporate partnerships, how the #sponsorship landscape has evolved over time, and how helpful sports can be in developing business leaders. We also have a new addition to the Dispatch, led by our partner and head of innovation, David Gaspar: an industry research report looking at the relative sponsorship rates between Men’s and Women’s professional sports by Fortune 500 companies, which you can find in the link below. Come listen to Bonnie Bernstein, veteran ESPN and cbssports journalist, Podcast host of 'She Got Game'; Peter Land, Former CCO, DICK'S Sporting Goods; Elizabeth O'Brien, Program Director, IBM Sports and Entertainment Partnerships; and Jennifer Cramer, EVP Partnership Marketing, Major League Soccer. Please jump into the discourse: where do you think these sponsorship numbers will be for next season or the season after? Are women’s sports sponsorships having a moment or a movement? As our venerable host Jason Oberholtzer likes to say: if the content we're putting out resonates with you, please consider subscribing and sharing it to one (or more) people you think would enjoy a listen! https://lnkd.in/g7pyT3Ag

I just saw a post describing the difference between content and product marketing and the author very authoritatively described content marketing as more or less copy editing. Someone that cleans up text for readability, voice, grammar, etc. Copy editing is very important because it's one of the very first indicators of whether you are a professional company with its act together or barbarians with a website. But it is also not content marketing? I find it somewhat shocking people still don't understand this. Content marketing is earning traffic organically with... content. SEO, YouTube, newsletters, podcasts, how tos, courses, social. Working backward from an audience and their interests. And you eventually get to product. If your company thinks content marketing is just production support of product marketing, you are behind. Probably more than behind. Not even in the race. Oh, and both your product and content marketing teams (and other teams) need production support across copy editing, design, a/v, etc. Production is a real thing.

🌍Are sustainability reports destined to sit on a digital shelf collecting dust? This was our topic for a panel I had the honor of moderating at #ClimateWeekNYC in partnership with Gather. ✅Joined by industry leaders Rachel Taplinger (Maybelline), Rose Hartley (formerly Misfits Foods), and I was sad to miss Alexis King Wilson (Endeavor) – who shared valuable insights asynchronously despite not being able to attend in person. We explored the complexity of sustainability reporting while identifying ways to maximize their value. From aligning reports with company goals to overcoming the challenges of often being a "team of one," here are some of the key takeaways: 📄 Choose a report format that fits your business and resources – whether it’s bi-annual or annual reporting, or identifying KPIs specific to your industry, tailor your approach to what is required and what works for your team 🤝 Cross-functional collaboration is critical – schedule regular check-ins early on with teams like marketing, finance, and procurement to ensure smooth alignment throughout the reporting process 💡 Sharing across industries matters – speaking with leaders from different sectors and company sizes highlighted the importance of exchanging learnings and perspectives in this ever-evolving space ✋ Take our anonymous survey! We are compiling data to share back with the sustainability industry on how our commitments and communications landscape is changing. (link in comments) Big thanks to Rachel, Rose, and Alexis for their invaluable insights, and to Gather for co-hosting such a meaningful discussion! #SustainabilityReporting #Sustainability #ESG #BespokeESG #CorporateSustainability #ClimateWeek

A recent Gallup poll revealed that approximately 66% of surveyed employees are dissatisfied at work. This month's episode delves into this critical issue. Our co-hosts, Jason Oberholtzer and Mimi Sun (MSL) Longo, engage in an insightful discussion with our founder Justin D. Tobin and Richard Quigley, founder of RevCareer. Together, they explore the multifaceted factors, underlying psychology, and workplace conditions that contribute to or detract from an employee's sense of satisfaction. We invite you to consider: What drives your sense of satisfaction at work? Is it existential, cultural, or perhaps something else entirely? Join us for this thought-provoking conversation and share your perspectives. #WorkplaceSatisfaction #EmployeeEngagement #CareerDevelopment #OrganizationalPsychology #WorkplaceCulture https://lnkd.in/eFupyQgZ
